Amena Residences And Suites Managed By Meliã in Ho Chi Minh

Simply fantastic. Great location in District 1, walking distance to great food places and the hotel setup is a class above the other hotels in the area.

- Rooms are great sized ; Not pigeon hotel size and enough room to waltz in it 😁
- Good amenities for business travelers - includes iron and ironing board by default in the room
- Impressive entrance and reception area. You know what they say about first impressions
- Plenty of Japanese restaurants in the area (Little Tokyo is just across the road); Might be a bit uncomfortable for family travellers with the massage girls calling out for customers just right across the road

Will I return again? Definitely!

Good place to stay with many food and cafe around. Staff are generally good and helpful but as compared to my previous stay the standard has dropped a little. Cleaning of room not as good water top up is bad. They don't top up the water even if you have remove it and drink 75% of it. Have to make a call everyday to get them. Something to improve on.

Strategic location adds to its glory. Clean lobby and rooms. Gym may be dusty as not frequently used. Swimming pool is quite nice located at 10 floor with beautiful views. Room service may be improved.
Hotel is not yet equipped with Melia loyalty membership benefit, so may be disappointing.

I've stayed a quite a few hotels in Ho Chi Minh, specifically around district 1 and Amena is definitely a place I'd recommend. The location is close to many great restaurants, bars and shopping centres. The hotel room itself (premium room) was spacious, clean and well maintained during the time I was there. The best part was probably the staff though who were always smiling when greeting and helpful when I needed assistance. They even went to the trouble of getting me a birthday cake without even us mentioning it! Will definitely stay here again on my next trips!

New hotel in Saigon. Room is big and location is very good. Near Japanese village you can find out delicious food easily. Suggest to provide more training for the staff. Like how to use TV inside the room. Internet also not really stable.
