Keleshbei in Gudauta

A good family hotel. But there are a few downsides. My wife and I stayed at the end of August and booked the breakfast option. Lunch and dinner are not included.

Cons:
- The room without a balcony has a small clothes dryer. Swimsuits take 24 hours to dry, and there's very little space.
- There's no curtain on the side window, so the streetlight was shining right in my face. I had to block it with the clothes dryer.
- I couldn't find any other significant downsides.

Pros:
I'll summarize the obvious points.
- There's air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a kettle. The rooms are clean and frequently cleaned. The mattress is decent, and the linens are nice.
- The breakfasts are delicious. Nothing fancy, but they make delicious pancakes or syrniki themselves. Porridge, hot sandwiches, and cold cuts.
- The hosts organize excursions themselves. Much more enjoyable and interesting than tours from a tour agency. Reasonably priced. And in pleasant company.
The hotel sells homemade wine and chacha.

The store is right around the corner. Nearby are two places where you can eat well: the Sukhum cafe and the Uyut canteen. The Uyut cafe is incredibly delicious.

The sea is 5 minutes away. Literally across the street. You can see and hear the sea from the window.

Civilization is nearby. Restaurants, a park, the administration building, etc. are 10 minutes away across the river.

My friends and I stayed at the Keleshbey Hotel from July 14th to 24th, 2025. It was our first time in Abkhazia and we were very pleased. We found the hotel online based on reviews, and of course, we were still a little worried whether everything was as good as everyone was saying. But everything turned out even better! Firstly, the hotel's location is just a leisurely 4-minute walk to the sea. Secondly, the hotel itself exceeded all our expectations! This is a 5-star European-standard hotel! We had a room with a glassed-in balcony (room 23, for those interested). The balcony has a large drying rack and two wooden chairs with a coffee table (the IKEA style is very present). The room itself has a large bed with a comfortable mattress (also from IKEA) and an additional sofa. The air conditioning is cleverly installed: above the bed, but not blowing on your head, like in some other hotels. There is a small refrigerator, a table, and a chair. At the entrance to the room, there is an open closet for clothes and suitcases. The bathroom has a decent-sized shower stall with good plumbing. There was always hot and cold water. I think the bed linen was changed once (I don't remember exactly), and face and body towels were changed every 2-3 days. But what was most impressive was that there were large beach towels for everyone in the room! And they changed them as needed. The difference between this hotel and typical guesthouses or mini-hotels was felt even in the little details - working air conditioning in the hallway on every floor, elegant signs specially made for the Keleshbey Hotel everywhere (I never saw any notices written on a piece of paper with a marker and taped to them), several clock faces at the reception with different time zones (it seems like a small thing, but it makes a big difference!), and so on. The hotel owners are a Russian family who moved to Abkhazia permanently. Thanks to Elena and Nikolay!!! We constantly felt their care. Getting from Sochi Airport to Gudauta was very important to us. Nikolai met us at the airport in a minivan, drove us to the border, where everyone arriving walks through the customs corridor, and then drove us to the hotel. The entire journey takes about three hours (depending on the queue at customs, where things aren't yet fully organized). Regarding excursions, the hosts offer several tours in their comfortable cars. It's very convenient: departure in the morning after breakfast, and you're back at the hotel by evening. The routes are varied, so you can see for yourself. There's a barbecue area on site. We didn't use it, but I saw others using it. I'd especially like to mention the breakfasts: a buffet with home-cooked food! Delicious porridge, omelets, pancakes, sausage, cheeses (at least two types), pastries, three types of homemade jam, tea, coffee, and chicory. I apologize if I didn't list everything, but there was a lot of food. A huge thank you to Irina for all this deliciousness!!! Breakfast starts from 8:00 to 10:00. Before breakfast, we managed to go for a swim in the sea. For lunch, we usually went to the Sukhum cafe. It's 3 minutes from the hotel. The food is quite decent. I recommend it. Now about the beach. It's a bit "wild" in terms of service. But you can rent a large umbrella (200 rubles per day) and a sun lounger (200 rubles). When leaving for the

A great place for a family vacation at affordable prices. Clean, comfortable rooms, and water is always available. A full buffet breakfast is included. The staff is friendly. A great hotel for a relaxing stay. The rooms are comfortable, hot water is constant, and the rooms are cleaned and towels and linens are changed regularly. Breakfast is very good and varied, and the hours are convenient from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The hosts and staff are welcoming and friendly.
