Funky Guest House & Adventures in Permet

The best hotel during my Albanian trip. Rooms are in reasonable price and in a great shape. My room was so clean, as new. Tv is big, AC working great. Breakfast is good. There is convenient parking availale. Staff speak all languages a little :D and perfect in English. They also have trios in they offer, I chose horse ridinf and it was 10/10. I would totally recommend I and hope to come back to Funky Guest house :)

I stayed three nights in the Funky Guest House during a business visit to Përmet and everything worked fine. The room was OK although nothing fancy. It had small balcony with a view to the snowcapped mountains. The beds were really confortable. The breakfast included was sturdy and nothing out of the ordinary, but if you are visiting Përmet for outdoor activities, it certainly gives you a good base for the day. The location is optimal and although placed directly on the main square around 11 pm everything becomes quiet. All in all, optimal value for money.

Very warm, friendly and welcoming staff, clean and cozy rooms and a really tasty and filling breakfast. All excellent restaurants are just 5 min away. Location is next to the main square with busy street traffic and cafes around- even in off-season it is fairly noisy outdoors. Many rooms in Albania do not have ventilation so only option is to keep window slightly open for air but also noise finds its way in. Hence 3 stars location for me as I love to sleep on a vacation. Also indoors room doors are thin- everything happening in the corridor is heard as well it was happening in your room. If you need deep sleep then bring earplugs or look for acommodations in the old town. They seemed quiet and secluded during my evening walk and also not far away.

The room was on the town’s square and my window was broken, so it was quite noisy. The curtains are also not blackout curtains, so there was a good amount of light from the plaza. As a result I didn’t get a great night’s sleep.

We did white water rafting and horse riding with them and had an amazing time, they were the highlights of our trip to Albania! Guides were really fun and enthusiastic and committed to making sure everyone was having a great time. We got tonnes of great pictures as well.

We just had a privilege of staying at the wonderful Funky Guest House and highly recommend it! It has a true 'traveller' feel to it, social, easy-going, and with a passion for the area. It is run by Avenir ('Av') who has excellent English, is welcoming and easy to speak with, and can organise local tours (we did the rafting on the river with them - do not miss it! Best day of our trip). Funky Guest House is located in the centre of Permet, on the square and perfectly located to walk anywhere in this little town. We were there in August and the town bustled at night, creating a wonderful, joyful atmosphere. We were always welcomed back to Funky Guest House like friends. Breakfast was a welcome addition ( bread, eggs, local preserves, coffee, meat slices & veg) how reasonably priced the guesthouse is. We stayed in the mountain view apartment as we are a family of four with teenagers, and there was plenty of room. I had a little look at the other rooms in the guesthouse which all looked beautiful. If you have travelling in your blood and are lucky enough to be visiting Permet and the surrounding beauty (don't miss a walk into the Langarica Canyon down the road), don't hesitate to book this wonderful guesthouse!

Lively place! Centrally located with personal interior. . The balcony of our room overlooing the crowd, we spent the evening looking out at the locals meeting their friends as the heat of the day wore off. Great breakfast, nice to have options. We wish we could have joinez the horse back ride but I caught a cold and couldn't join in. Wonderful, highly recommend! The city itself is worth a visit, so beautiful!

I both stayed at Funky Guest House and took a horse trek with them. Communication was wonderful! The hotel is super friendly and in a great location on the central square, lined with cafes and restaurants, yet relatively quiet. A group of us were transported out to the country side of the Vjosa River valley and saddled up, according to our skill (or lack of skill) level. The ride was through stunning scenery and we were provided with videos and photos that same day.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms. Helpful and generous hosts. It was very convenient to arrive and be able to book rafting for the following morning with minimal fuss. Avenir, the owner, has perfect English. Great value. Highly recommended.

We 100% recommend staying here. The service, the location, the breakfast, the view, the activities, the room, everything about it was amazing. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you Funky Guest House for everything! This was truly a highlight on our honeymoon
