The service was very friendly, the owners and staff are eager to assist with any requests and like to get to know their clients, hence we rebooked on two other occasions.
There is no food, but good food outlets and takeaways nearby. There is tea/coffee, biscuits and a microwave, plates & cutlery, mugs, water & wine glasses.
The beds are very comfortable, rooms are a good size with air-con, TV & couch- all the usual extras, shampoo, shower gels, hair dryer, iron and small wardrobe.
The bathrooms are very small but work for short stays. Swimming pool available, which we did not use due to short stay. Private car parking is off road and surprisingly quiet due to proximity to the main road. City is within walking distance. I realise that the motel is of an older style, however one tiny concern for older folks is the small step in and out of the bathroom especially if using at night and a step from the car up to the path outside the room. Perhaps a reminder to 'mind the step' - or a Fluro ***** to make it obvious might avoid a 'trip'. The prices are very affordable.

For a motel, this is perfect. Rooms are spacious, clean, bathroom is modern and spacious too. Air con in bedrooms, ceiling fans, open plan kitchen with couch, table, and a desk for working. We needed a quick late night stop which was close to the hospital (3 min drive). And it is perfect. They let us extend our stay for an extra night at late notice. Cafes and pharmacy across the road. If you need accom for hospital - please stay here. Cannot fault them.

Excellent, friendly customer service. Comfy bed, spacious rooms, brilliant shampoo & conditioner, competitive rates and did I mention friendly customer service. We will be staying again.

Staff are terribly rude and unfriendly. They use tonnes of toxic chemicals. Room was awfully smelled by them. If you are allergic or travel with kids avoid this motel at any cost. My mouth and throat were full of chemicals and I vomited in the morning. Every where were dead flies. Customer service is on a low level. We woke up at 4 am because of the flooded room ( not our fault ). The street is very noisey.

Small bathroom, tight fit to use toilet. Staff very pleasant. Youtube and Netflix were not working last two days of stay, informed management, still no result, thought small refund may have been appropriate, haven't seen anything yet.

We had a surprisingly enjoyable stay for one night. The lady accommodated us with a last-minute booking after our previous lodging in another Leichhardt facility fell through. There was secure parking available for our large ute and camper. The only downside was that there was no extraction fan in the bathroom, which resulted in a damp bathroom environment. The wifi was fast and TV had netflix ready to go

Mmaannnn, it was cold and rainy so we didn't get to try the pool! Room was Cute, roomy for 3. Little kitchen area, bathroom.
Great walking distance to food, coffee and little store. Nice front desk lady, at check in.
Wifi (worked night 1) but wonder if the weather took it out after this. So we had phones and other things to do.
We headed to the Zoo by car from here.

Downside: Due to the weather the eves where dripping down rain water right In front our door, making small pools of water,absolutely wet because, trying to walk into the room was a small hassel. ( at room 19 top level, left if stairs) i think. Hope this can be looked at for the future, to help.

If you are looking for a good fish chips takeaway Berny's on the corner of Ruthven&Long st, try it out for yourself. They make a mean hamburger at lunch, not available after 5pm. Great place.

Steadily getting worse, and this business of making the chip serving smaller is a joke.
Two teenagers running around without much of a system and it's no surprise the orders took forever to come out.
The oil temps are off - I live one street over and it's all soggy and oil-soaked when I open it.
Don't bother ever trying to order a burger - they don't make any bones about letting you know how inconvenient it is.
Also, see review below where they tell someone their palate may not be suited to barramundi - way to be completely condescending to your customers. It also isn't great that your reaction is to blame your customer rather that wonder if the quality wasn't great.

I'm happy to drive elsewhere. If you own this place don't bother responding - not interested.

The chips are small and thin and don't taste of potato but rather oil. You can literally squeeze the oil out.

The barramundi had zero flavour as well as the prawns. Everything was saturated in oil.

I don't understand how the cleaning of the hot plates being so hard is my problem - I've never heard of a fisho not serving burgers after 6. Why have them at all or why have the business at all if it's too hard.p

Don't be fooled by its quaint decor! The Vintage Cafe is my favorite place to go to impress a friend. The service has been top notch from day one and I've never been disappointed by a food choice from there.

The short macchiato I had was above average, corn fritters were tasty. My breakfast companion's eggs were undercooked, and latte tasted oddly sour. I feel there is potential, and will return for hopefully am improved experience. Give it a go!
