Hotels in Mount Gambier

It's located a little outside the center. Blue Lake is just a short walk away.

Room was clean and quiet Main reason we chose hotel was the restaurant-but this is closed on a Sunday and Monday so we had to drive into town. Can this be made more obvious when booking?

Friendly, extremely comfortable motel that we would happily return to. Great location. Yes it is a bit dated but was obviously built to a very high standard in its day.

Easy and friendly check-in, room tidy but getting dated. Why, when there are not many customers, do you put people next door? I thought it would be better to spread everyone out.

Easy to find and conveniently located near the beach and main shopping street, all within walking distance. Great for dining and shopping!

The chairs provided on the balcony one was broken and one was rusty and stained a lot of clothes. Netflix didn’t work. Room was only cleaned once.

A large room that was really clean and had all we needed. A bit out of city centre if without a car.

Very spacious rooms. Though not very updated rooms. But everything is working and good for stay. Would stay again.

Position is good, near to the center. Room is clean. Problem is that parking is horrible if you drive a SUV or bigger car. The parking space is so small and if you come back late , then you can not park inside the hotel. Swimming pool is very small and just enough for 2-3 families together.

It has everything you need. Pretty clean and neat. Not much service was requested. Just one night stay before heading to another place.

Nice accommodation in Mt Gambier

Check in was quick but upon arrival in our room both soap dispensers were empty. This was quickly rectified but one continued to leak during our stay. The fridge was noisy and we had to turn it off to sleep. The quieter room only enabled us to hear the other noisy guests until the early hours of the morning. Some reminders that this is a shared space and queit after 10 or 11 pm would have been nice...

The Blue Lake and Underground Gardens in Mount Gambier are quite famous, and the town itself has some charming old limestone cottages. The motel room was clean and came with a basic kitchenette. The reception staff were very enthusiastic in sharing the town's highlights. For three people, the room was a bit on the small side.

Booked a room, but had a bike breakdown on the way. Rang to try and change to the next day, but owner said they were fully booked. He knew we were stuffed, so he said "I'll see what I can do" He rang back and said we could stay in the apartment he keeps for family & friends, and wouldn't charge any extra fees or cancellation! Service above and beyond the norm, a really nice clean room and bathroom...

This is a no frill motel. The woman at the front desk was friendly and took time to answer my questions. Ample parking in front of the guest rooms. Room is average size and clean. There is a small fridge and water kettle. The motel provides basic shampoo and soap, and coffee and tea, not much to write about. I opted out of the breakfast, which costs extra. This is good for one or two nights...

In the city affordable class room.

This place is good value. Pretty close to everything. The shower looks and sounds a little bit old but still good for using. Comfortable bed and clean

Room 4 was a little dated but clean and large space. Big bit of damp needs sorting on internal brickwork by wardrobe other than that all ok. Hot tap was boiling so beware. Comfortable and quiet though.

The quilt on the bed is old and dirty. However, the bed sheet is clean. Other facilities are ok.

A bit old, but clean, everything you need is supplied. Great location. The lady working/ in charge when we were there was so kind, caring & helpful……(the kind of person who restores faith in humanity!) Will be staying there next time I’m in the Mount.

Property is the oldest in Mt Gambier but am advised that new owners are coming in and have plans to renovate. Current owners are lovely and always happy to look after you and have a chat. For the price it was good value for Mt Gambier. Room was clean and bed was good. Just getting on a bit.

For a room with a bed, it was ok, Room extremely small, and appears not to have been upgraded since 1960’s. Highly recommend taking your own pillows!!

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It is close to everything in the main city area. Nice walking track along the old railway line. The room is old but visually clean and tidy, I think it has been awhile since the whole room has been cleaned thought. Plenty of hot water and the beds are reasonably comfortable.

Best features were location, affordable, Smart TV, WiFi, microwave, crockery and cutlery.

Hmmm, a case of “you get what you pay for”. Very handy/ convenient location that’s for sure. The Units are old and dated. Clean enough but, very “basic”. OK for maybe an overnight stay but certainly not for a n “extended “ stay. Rooms are small with everything in there. Except the bathroom of course. Reminded me of “single man’s accommodation in a mining dorm.

Excellent motel providing everything you needed for a short stay. Thank goodness for the soap as I forgot mine. The lemon and strawberry biscuits were a nice touch as was the carton of milk we were given at reception, the box of Tissues and all the crockery and cutlery you need. We'll done Grsnd Central would defo recommend

Good location, easy access with plenty of parking. Supermarket, pubs and food close by. Rooms basic and a little bit noisy but very clean. Well appointed with toiletries and iron. Surprisingly good, friendly service. Well recommended.

Convenient location. The exterior didn’t fill me with hope but was pleasantly surprised with the interior. Modern amenities, updated bathroom. Bed was quite firm. The customer service at the front counter was great and friendly.

Average motel accommodation, looking tired and in need of a room reno. Rooms have been given a lick and a promise in the way of cleaning for months so much build up of fluff and lack of care. Room was $180 for dust . Shower dribbles water sparingly so unpleasant experience difficult to mix temps. Bed was super comfy , great linen and pillows and electric blanket was a bonus to use as it was a cold...

Had 3 nights that I had purchased on Travel Auctions. Had the opportunity to pay more and have one of the super upgraded rooms, however I happen to like Retro 70's and I wasn't disappointed. Big room with super comfy bed and pillows. Room and bathroom really clean. To my surprise there was a small kitchenette with a microwave and plates and cutlery which I found very handy. Very friendly and welcoming...

We had a wonderful experience in Tower Inn Motel rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable and amazing staff enjoyed our stay.
