Quality Hotel Parklake Shepparton in Shepparton

Wow, what a beautiful accommodation. We booked this hotel as our last minute stay and we were very impressed by the quality and high standards they had. Beautifully renovation! We got to their spa and sauna. Warm and friendly staff at reception and we also ordered some delicious food at dinner. Highly recommend.

Was greeted by a friendly front staff member although seemed I interrupted while she was eating her meal, She apologised and said they don’t have a staff room they can use, Pretty Poor for any workplace let a alone a high end hotel to not provide a staff room or seemingly give staff adequate breaks. Sad to see, especially when visitors are paying top dollar to stay and dine at this establishment. Receptionist was proficient and professional for check in, there were no issues considering everything was under my daughter’s name as she booked online for us. She came out to where I was tentatively parked, showed us what room we were staying in, where to park, where the pool centre was and went the extra mile to both acknowledge and greet my wife even though she was still in the car. Restaurant was busy and ‘popping’. The waitresses were polite and hospitable. The Live band was a cherry on top. Felt like the place to be. Food prices were questionably high. Menu was basic, a lot of pointless yip yap. Who ever wrote the menu needs to put the thesaurus down. No need to fluff up cauliflower and rice and put a $41 price tag on it. Could do with a Seniors Menu or half sizes. Nice looking pool area, the furniture needs an upgrade as it looks thoughtless, not to mention cheap and a bit tacky. The maids in the morning were also very friendly. I must say the staff service was incredible, everyone we encountered was delightful. It’s rare these days to experience staff that take pride in their workplace which was what elevated my wife and I’s experience at Parklake Hotel. It’s been a few weeks since we visited, and we are already considering staying at Parklake again the next time we find ourselves in Shepparton.
Management and higher ups if you’re reading this, the staff you have on your books are your most valuable asset, They are the only reason why we will be back or recommending this establishment.

We had our son’s 18th birthday in the newly renovated glass house, Cashe, Dakota & the team are absolutely fantastic from accommodating family needs like disabled lifts and ramps nothing was an issue. The food & beverage service was outstanding, meals beautiful and accommodating dietary restrictions, beverage service was excellent and with a smile, Cashe, the team truly made the night special for our family and we are still receiving compliments regarding your venue and staff.
Thanks Cashe & Parklake team, you guys are a level above the rest keep up the awesome work.

Good service

Great hotel, rooms are super clean and spacious. Close to town and across from lake for a morning walk. Staff were courteous and efficient.

Very convenient to the art gallery, big room with balcony so we could sleep with the screen insect closed and the door open, rather than use air conditioning. The quality of furniture and bedding was good, some traffic noise which we preferred to using air con. Easy off street parking, for which there was no charge. Would happily base myself here to explore the region.

I would be great too if, when staying multiple days, the dirty mugs were replaced by clean ones.
But for those little details, it wss a great quality stay.

It was our first time staying in this hotel & had an overall good experience. The check in & check out process was very quick & efficient. The most important for us is that the room & bed is clean- which it was! Location was also very close to central strip & across a beautiful park with playground for kids. Hotel also had a pool. The only unpleasant things we experienced were- We stayed in room C41 & in the middle of the night, the sink made a loud gurgling sound, which continued intermittently after every few hours. At first we thought it was something outside the room (as the walls were also very thin) but it turned out to be our bathroom! The view from the window is beautiful- it faces the park across the street, however perhaps due to it being a long weekend, after midnight, there were many cars hooning down the main strip, as well as people chattering loudly- which you can hear very loud from the room. And around 5AM in the morning (because I already had a restless night) there is a bird in the tree right outside our window that was chirping non-stop for an hour lol. This is NOT fault of hotel, but consider these factors if booking next time & opt for a different room perhaps (away from tree & away from main road lol). The only other tangible feedback I'd like to give- Pool area was a hit with the kids, however there were not enough sunbeds (only about 4-5 i think?) I hope you can add more if possible. Otherwise, we are happy with our stay.

The tv didn't work at first but they fixed it, and I couldn't call reception from the room phone as it didnt work.
On initial check-in, the girls were very friendly, but the man was very terse and told me there was a $200 security deposit which I get back on checkout, but we were not EVER informed of this beforehand. On checkout when asked for the deposit back, we were told not until rooms cleaned at least after 10am, which again was not mentioned to us prior..
In fairness our waitress in the restaurant Danielle was exceptional and deserves an award for her customer service. Can't fault her and hoped IF we come back again, she is our waitress.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that offered a mix of positives and a few drawbacks. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:

#Location
The best feature of this hotel was undoubtedly its location. Everything was conveniently located just around the corner, making it easy to explore the area without any hassle.

#Room Quality
I found the room to be spacious, which was a delight. It provided enough comfort for a relaxing stay.

#Staff
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, contributing significantly to our overall experience. Their warmth and willingness to assist made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

#Dining
We had lunch at the hotel, and it was both fresh and delicious. The quality of the food was impressive. However, breakfast was served as a buffet with limited options compared to other hotels in Victoria, especially considering the price we paid. This was a bit disappointing but not a deal-breaker.

#Noise Issues
One significant downside was our room's location. We were assigned a room facing the lake and the main road, which meant we could hear people playing and screaming in the park. The noise carried on until about 2 AM, which disrupted our sleep. It would have been great if the rooms were more soundproof to provide a better night’s rest.

Overall, despite the noise issue and limited breakfast options, my stay was quite good. The combination of location, spacious rooms, friendly staff and tasty meals made it enjoyable.
