Stayed the night at this motel and it was good for what we needed however the rooms are a little ran down but that is to be expected with an older motel, was still well kept. The reception man was super nice and even let me check in a little earlier.
I loved how you opened the sliding back door and the river was right there, perfect vibe for a morning coffee.
The pool was perfect for my daughter just needed a little clean as it was a tad green. However overall was happy with our stay and would come back!

Terrible stay here - I do NOT recommend. The room was a good size and the spa worked - these were the only positives. Staff were indifferent, the room wasn't clean and the decor was falling apart. Place looked like something out of a cheap horror film and I genuinely felt unsafe at night.

Welcome to the place of "No care despair". Dark, rooms. Cheap laminate covered MDF from the 80's. Ash trays outside every room, some full of butts + water bottles full of butts. Showers nice and hot, but the screaming sound from the water pipes!! Carpet had holes and carpet strings. My partner is elderly and worried he would trip so walked around it. The pool had a black plastic bag stuck in the filter and was not addressed for the 2 days we were there. No daily bed makes or showel gel replenishments. Pool area looked like left over from zombie apocalypse. Spa was green 🤢. Most definitely NOT a 4 star. It would be pushing for 3 stars. Spoke to occupants of another room by the pool and he said his room had to be changed due to holes in the floor. We will find somewhere else in Shepparton next time we come up.

10 mins from Shepparton city centre. Old classic motel with an older fit out. But very clean and perfect for our stay. Linen was very clean and that's all you can ask. Views of the lake were nice. But note swimming pool not available all year round. Owners were helpful.

Older style motel, needs a tidy up especially the gardens.
In its day it looked really nice but not so much now, a bit run down. The grass out the back needs cutting and there was a big pile of old mattresses dumped near the lake.
Reasonable rates.

It was okay for one night. I got the room because it was cheap. When you entered the property it was run down and needs an update. I went to reception and had to get my own UHT milk out of the fridge, they could've put it in the room prior to my arrival. I was by myself and felt quite isolated out there on the freeway. I won't be staying there again. It was clean but very basic. I won't be staying there again. It could do with a lot of updating.

This motel is a disgusting, filthy and outdated. Would not recommend this place to anyone. It was like you were in a time-wharp back from the 70s. Heating wasn't working, carpet stained and old, beds uncomfortable. save your money go elsewhere

I booked one night and liked it so much I stayed a second night. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms with fantastic views over the lake. Rooms have a back door to access the pool, bbq, lake and open area. It's peaceful and quiet, only a few minutes from Shepparton. I'll be back!
Three years later, I'm finally back. It's still good value, friendly staff. I'm in a different, larger, comfy room. All rooms are overlooking the lake.

If this is an overnight stop in the middle of a road trip, it will give you everything you need.
- clean room
- hot shower
- a place to rest your head.
Plus the rates are cheaper if you book via their website.
Surprisingly lovely view of the river from your back door.
I think bulk of the reviews are from an older/ different management of the hotel.
- rooms are dated (but functional).
- couldn’t find the wifi password anywhere.
- foxtel is so snowy on screen, just stick with regular tv.
- pool water isn’t green, but the pool itself needs draining and a good clean, I probably would avoid.
- gardens aren’t as well maintained as shown in older photos.
- out the back “patio” area had broken lights, broken glass, junk from older guests. Great view of the river and could be a lovely place to sit if cleaned up.

I'd say it was lovely in its day, now it needs some serious work. The room was clean but the bed was worn out & the rest was very basic. Gardens would be gorgeous if they actually weeded them & mowed properly. The front reception is an eye sore dirty & messy! I almost drove out , I wish I had read thru the reviews thoroughly.
