Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Astoria Hotel in Antwerp.
Cigarette smoke came into the room through the ventilation, which made the stay very unpleasant. The spring mattresses were old, yellowed, and clearly worn out. Overall, the entire room felt outdated: the floor was stained and the furniture tired and uninviting.

The only positive aspect was the friendly and welcoming service at the reception – unfortunately, the rest of the hotel did not live up to that standard. My advice: better spend a little more money on a different hotel.

The location is quite good, about 5-10 min walk from the central station. Though the facilities are old, there are no unpleasant smell in the room, and it is kept in very clean and tidy way. The toilet is also quite clean and good to use. Service is warm and nice. We were there for Ladygaga's concert, the reception lady told us that we can take the metro for free by the concert ticket. Thanks a lot!

Hotel at an excellent location in Antwerp. Rooms are big, clean and nice. There is only one towel per person and no hand towel. This could be improved. Location is excellent, in the center with supermarkets at walking distance.

Perfect for when you arrive to Antwerp by train.

Good for work trips, not the best for vacations.

Decent breakfast options.
Attentive staff behind the reception.

Couple of broken things/missing lightbulbs in the room, no biggie.

Absolutely Disgusting - Stay Away!

This hotel is a complete nightmare. Everything is outdated, filthy, and falling apart. The room was disgusting with stained sheets, moldy bathroom, and a terrible smell throughout.

Half the equipment doesn't even work - broken air conditioning, TV that won't turn on, and the shower barely has any water pressure. The furniture looks like it's from decades ago and ready to collapse.

The whole place is neglected and dirty. I've never seen such poor maintenance in my life. The staff doesn't care at all about the terrible conditions.

Left early and got another hotel. Total waste of money. Do NOT book this place - you'll regret it immediately!
