Where to stay in Shipka

It was perfect. The room was clean and had a nice balcony. I also recommend trying the specialities from the breakfast. Quite tasty 😀

We stayed here while visiting the Shipka Monument. It's a lovely guest house with a large "living room" area and garden. Very peaceful and quiet. Home cooked breakfast can be ordered and prepared for an extra fee.

Beds are not very comfortable and no A/C means it gets hot in the summer, but the hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are well equipped, breakfast (not included in price) was delicious, and the building itself is very nice in a great position. The owner is one of the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever met, this hotel is incredible value for your money.

The chap who looked after us was great, spoke good English and made sure we had a good time. The food made in the kitchen on site was superb, the breakfasts deserve a special mention!

We stayed here to visit Buzludzha. Great location to do so. Staff are very kind, breakfast was great, and room was comfortable. Can't ask for much more!

Lovely couple running a family run business. They couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely room and balcony just outside our room.. We stayed 2 nights and only intended staying for 1. Homemade food and the best omelette I have tasted for sometime for our breakfast..!!

Our stay was perfect! The hosts are very positive,and hospitable,always ready to help you. Very clean and cozy room with perfect view. If you are lucky,you will get to hear live music performed by the owners on dinner time. I recommend this place!

Really friendly venue with the most welcoming couple. A wealth of local information and jokes 😊 It has some lovely little touches; like a small pool to relax when you get in during summer; sauna to warn up in winter; and a stunning view from the shared terrace for sun downers.

Amazing place in a beautiful location! The husband and wife who own it are the most hospitable people I've ever encountered! If you have a problem they take it to heart and make sure you have the best experience possible! Bonus! The food is fricken delicious!

Off centre hotel, small family establishment, rooms are large enough, furniture is old and worn out, no mini bar, and no toiletries, cleaning is carried out once in two days.

An old place, but it's renovated and is kept clean. Too expensive for what it has to offer, but otherwise good and comfortable, rooms are with decent size. I had to kill some spiders first and the blankets and bedsheets didn't match in size

Would recommend it for staying as it's just across the city museum! You can order breakfast ahead, the room was clean, and the personnel was welcoming. There's parking though it's a bit hard to enter with a bigger car.

Excellent on all levels. Fast wifi, Wonderful but small and cosy rooms and maintained well ..accept for one small thibg: the shower head clamp which was broken and I, 1.91 m tall, wasn’t able to set it at a comfortable height. Nevertheless 5 stars from us. The staff was nice and helpful and also spoke English. We will be back.

Wow wow wow .. this place is AMAZING. For that little town this is some next level hotel .. they've got some rooms that are unique to any hotel in Bulgaria. We were in the romantic room where you can find a all round bad in a huge room with a massage shower in the f....k room !! Which is like a go to for a Romantic or honeymoon room. Definitely go there if you are in the region !!

This is a great place to stay if you're here for vacation. Although the room is not too big, the facilities are all in great condition. Also the staff are friendly and fluent in English, especially the girl who was on day shift of 09-Jun-2019. I think her name is Gabri? If possible, I'd like to thank her for the kindness and patience she showed, and all the help she offered!

Very good location and a guest parking with access control. I was presently surprised by the size of the room! Everything I'd need was available, a large working space, a meeting table, a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was also generous of space and it included a bidet. Breakfast was somewhat simple but without any remarks. Not really stylish, even old fashioned, but yet completely satisfying...

This hotel offers well equipped, clean, spacious rooms. It is centrally located but conveniently positioned in a quiet street. It is at a walking distance from the Historical Museum “Iskra” and the Rose Garden. They offer free car parking just few metres from the same hotel. The breakfast buffet is varied and of a good quality. Kind and helpful staff.

Bad luck, when we arrived at the hotel, all streets around were in work. Even the place is quiet, the view around was not very pleasant. Rooms are clean. Our bathroom was freshly painted and renewed and it was top. But the furniture are somewhat tired and outdated. Excellent location in the city center, just 5-10 minutes walk from the bus and train station. The owners are very nice people, they treated me like a family member, and they helped me with everything. The hotel has a beautiful rose garden and a perfect view on the main square, so I could enjoy the folklore dance competition from the terrace of the hotel. A memory, which I will never forget :)

This is a cozy hotel in the center of Kanzalak city. The room was well equiped and very clean. I was pleased to find in my room a free bottle of wine at my arrival. The shower has mineral thermal water which it looks very interesting to me. 👍 The breakfast was decent, you can have free coffee during the day. Stayed at this hotel for 1 night on the way to Greece in August 2021. The hotel is new, cozy, clean, quiet, peaceful. The rooms are very spacious with large beds and freshly refurbished. The rooms have everything you need - cosmetics, slippers, bathrobes, a bar. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was a bit modest compared to the number of rooms, but ample.

The hotel is new with a luxurious interior. I had a very pleasant stay and I highly recommend it. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure the most comfortable stay.

Location was very difficult to get to and very far out of town. The rooms and service were average and the food was very good, but overall we woldnt repeat. The hotel is super clean, the room smelled great, the owners are extremely friendly, and the food, the food was simple but simply the best. Best french fries we have ever had and I hate french fries but we ordered them for the kid and then I ended up eating them. Best bbq. It is worth coming back to the region just to stay at this place.

Super! Great building and rooms. Not a huge menu, but everything we tried was beautifully cooked and reasonably priced; so glad we saved space for the walnut pie. Staff were really helpful and friendly - English spoken where the Bulgarian escaped us - and the issues mentioned in the less favourable reviews in the "Hitr Petr" listing had clearly been ironed out. Impressive cleanness and interior design. Everything seems brand new - shiny and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious, the reception, spa and restaurant service were impacable. The only small disappointment was the fact, that the water in the pool is NOT mineral.

Spa was totally worth it if you ignore the jacuzzis. Amazing heated loungers and a boiling hot pool. Sauna was great even if the steam room didn't seem to be working.
