The hotel doesn't have any wifi in the room and commun area, this is probably the reason why the reception didn't get my reservation made few days before from Booking.
I had a twin room which was not clean at all from longtime. I try to speak with the staff but they only spark Khmer and few words in English which concern only the restaurant....
The view from the room is night around 6pm beacuse for the sunset and it's quiet during the day. Unfortunately the neighborhood hostel have laud music until 1am.
At the check out they try to charge 27$ more per night instead 20$ and she still not speak English. I finally just put the money on the desk and go.

Dear all,
It's make a few years now that's I go to cambodia and after having made the turn of few adress of Koh Rong Samloem...I would like if i will allow myself recommend you this one!!
Indeed Sunset Bungalow is a peacefulness!!! place with a top panoramic restaurant where you can eat a local cooking as well as french touch cooking!..
because you must to know "the boss" of Sunset!" was a chef cook on yacht industry in south of france also he worked on several restaurants between Courchevel & Megeve...(A famous French ski ressort).
It is also under this dome space you can chill in the shadow caress by the breeze...
about Bungalow
each one in front of the sea,certainly for people used 5 stars hotel it will be not for you!!! but all the necessary is there maybe "old school for some of them" but good enough for me...

I stayed in this place for a week and that wasn't enough.. It felt like my dream home, on an island with spectacular sunsets and great atmosphere. They have 10 beautiful bungalows and I heard they are getting 2 new ones soon with air conditioning! I'm going back to Cambodia and am planning to stop by the Sunset Bungalows twice in 1 month. The staff is very kind and can help you with transport information. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

A friend and I stayed in a twin bungalow (number 5). The bungalows are situated on a small hillside of Koh Rong Sanloem, and offer lovely views of the sea. The bungalow itself was OK - ours had two single beds with mosquito nets, a fan and a shelving unit. However, the room felt cramped with two people and bags, plus there was a distinct lack of natural light coming into the bungalow.
Warning - the power socket was loose on the wall next to the door! Please get this fixed as this was not ideal when we needed to charge electronic devices, resulting in our plugs falling out!
The bathroom was OK, albeit it did ocassionally become infested with ants from outside. Note that the water is cold! - So don't expect a warm shower; however we didn't find that a problem given how warm it gets on the island.
There was a lovely little porch/balcony area with a hammock which made for a good relaxation spot.
The restaurant was OK, offering food at reasonable prices (around $4 -$5 for food and a drink on average). The sedans and cushions are a nice touch though.
Good location - away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach but still within easy walking distance. Staff were also great and accommodating.
Overall a good place to stay, but not sure if I would stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights. It was quite a bargain to stay here during low season compared to high season. On top of the lower room rate, we got the beach in front of the bungalows to ourselves as there were no other guests staying here during our stay. The bungalow was very basic, but it was perfect for us as we spent most of our time in the outdoors and we are not the fussy type. Gecko lizard is common on this island so don't panic if you see one in your room. It won't bite you, seriously. Best time to come (low season) is in May and June. Oh one more thing, the sunset view is amazing and you can get the view from the porch of your bungalow. It's called sunset bungalows not for nothing.

From review of the restaurant. We visited it today for lunch. It was nice. There was lovely scenery and the owner seemed friendly. They have veggie options on the menu. We both had a veggie sambo. It was good but not worth the price. You can get just as good for a cheaper price in the village no prob. So I have nothing really against the place but just a little lower in price.
