Canadas Best Value Inn Hotel in Kelowna

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a very negative experience from the moment we arrived. The person at the front desk acted as if they were doing us a favour by helping us, with a noticeably poor and unwelcoming attitude.

Although we were given several papers stating that this is a non-smoking hotel, the hallway leading to the rooms had an overwhelming and unpleasant smell of tobacco. It was honestly shocking.

Once in the room, we noticed there was no shampoo provided. At first, we assumed it was a housekeeping oversight, but after calling the front desk, the same staff member came up with the same bad attitude and told us that there was no shampoo available anywhere in the hotel.

Cleanliness was also a serious issue. The bed sheets were stained, and the floor was dirty. I walked to the bathroom wearing socks, and they became visibly dirty, which says a lot about the condition of the room.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I would not recommend this hotel and would never stay here again.

Staff are incompetent, the room has no heat, one towel has a dirty handprint on it. I never want to come back.

Quiet Hours are a joke with no one actually around to enforce them because the lobby is closed between 11pm-8am(ish).

Our door was missing a door guard, and looked like someone had attempted to pry it open.

There is a leak in the bathroom we had told the front desk about, but seems only one person is ever on staff for anything so nothing was done.

The outlets on the lamps do not work.

Do not stay here. For a hotel charging us around $200/night with a pet, we expected better.

Our door was busted, split down the middle like the cops had to break in, and was clearly never replaced. The chain is held in place by a loose screw. The door knob must have been replaced after whatever happened because it works. Make sure if you book here that you call to make sure they actually reserve you a room, they cancelled ours without any warning or call, and my father had to go out of his way to make sure they rebooked us (we were on our way there); after reading other reviews it seems like a bad habit of this hotel's to cancel bookings. Pillows were flat as boards, bring your own. Coffee supplies (sugar, whitener, and stir sticks) were provided but in filthy sandwich bags. Too expensive, at most, this should be a $70/night hotel room. Would not stay here again as I felt unsafe the entire night. TV didn't even work, so I'm not sure why it's even there aside to make the rooms look nicer than they are. Aside from that, at least there were beds in there and no visible stains from the previous victims of this hotel. Very dark rooms even with all of the lights on, and if you're on the highway side, the sun will blind you like it's your first time seeing it. Very few accommodations.

Guarantee I get a lame excuse for half of the above in response.

Booked a room ground floor pet room a week ago. Got here to check in and was told they didn't have a room but could give us one on the second floor. Told her i couldn't manage the steep stairs after my surgery. After some back and forth we didn't feel like we had a choice. We were going to check in . As were going to make payment the price almost doubled from our reservation with no explanation. We asked what was going on and were told that is the price our reservation confirmation was incomplete so the new price is what you will pay. We left. That dump was not worth 600 bucks for two nights. Would rather sleep in the truck. Avoid this place at all costs

The manager is very dishonest. DON'T stay here!!!!! Sleep in your vehicle if you have no where else. Why should paying customers have to reattach the water holding tank chain or use the toilet down the hall?

The toilet is broken and they did not replace it. Very bad experience. They offered a key to use another room’s toilet. Absolutely unacceptable especially with raising room rate for the summer!

The place was filthy, smelled like there was something dead in building, rooms were not clean, no fresh towels. Homeless people on property, used needles, noisy, no staff on site, extremely unsafe health conditions. Should be closed due to many health infractions

Dirty, dingy rooms. TVs are 20 years old. Online it says they were going through extensive renovations, but I fail to see any indication that any changes from what I can only assume to be 1960-1970s construction.

Next time, I'll just pay the extra 15% to stay in a newer hotel in a less seedy neighbourhood. Other guests were very shady. Apparent drug activity in the back parking lot. Shower didn't work.

Staff were friendly, and they did accommodate an earlier check-in time. YMMV
