Very nice hotel! Service people very very kind!! Nice food,breakfast etc

I really liked the hotel. It wasn't fancy, but everything worked. The staff were professional and attentive. The room was simple (in a good way), clean, and quiet.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, most of the staff is friendly, the breakfast was really good with an excellent selection of foods, but the WiFi is truly horrible unfortunately. Would be perfect if they fix that.

I felt not welcoming. The service was not good. Mostly ppl here ignored me or rushing us without telling us what to do during checking. No one come talk to me while I’m waiting at the front desk. And the restaurant food was not good. Free breakfast was gross. The room was not comfortable, hot even we set the AC to 19. The bed, pillows heart my neck and body. We really did not have good experience here

Rooms were okay. Location not so, it was far from the restaurants with only 2 or 3 nearby. The Faro monument is close by and thats it. Bathtub dont have the water stoppers. You have to request for one and took more than an hour to actually get it... Partly obstructed sea view room is as not as bad. Still get a good view if you have the end room.

Wonderful to be so close to beach and still reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and supportive when I asked for help getting a taxi. Great location as it’s a block from the beach with the lighthouse being right there.

Good location - near the plaza. Clean hotel, very clean rooms. No A/C, No fan, quite hot in the room during the day. Extremely poor wi-fi signals - couldn't even load a simple web page. Room light bulbs missing, some light bulbs didn't work. The TV was mounted crooked - it was weird to watch TV having to tilt head in order to do so.

This is a review of the restaurant-Restaurante Dona Gabriela-at this hotel and not of the hotel itself....I spent four days in La Serena in May of this year and dined at this restaurant once...It did not disappoint....The vegetable soup was excellent and the chicken dish that I had as a main was perfect....Desserts were also top class....The staff were friendly and I want to mention Javiera and Sandy...

Beautiful colonial building, excellent location near the main square, with access to transportation to any place of the city. Food at restaurant is delicious and cheap. The best of all, its receptionists and waitresses, great people. They make you feel good and comfortable.

Traditional hotel very well located, one block from the Plaza de Armas (main square) and one block from the Japanese Gardens. Very close to the main avenue, Francisco de Aguirre. The hotel is very spacious, has a swimming pool in a small garden, I laid down on the lounge chairs to rest, very comfortable. The breakfast was rich and varied enough (coffee, tea, breads, yogurt, cereals, jam, ham, salami...

Very friendly staff, very quiet to rest, close to the center, own parking, the WIFI connection is terrible, I imagine that breakfast improves with more guests compared to other hotels in the area. I think it should improve.

Very pleasant stay. I loved the classic feel of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Rooms are quiet but very dated, needing an update. I love staying downtown, which is very vibrant. I definitely would stay here again.

Nice breakfast food. It is near the beach which is great. Has a nice pool and great gym. Nice comfortable place.

I didn't stay in this hotel, BUT went to the restaurant & Cafe located in this hotel for food and relaxing, what a surprise it was as we ate ceviche and Reineta Fish and it was fantastic (as it was cooked at the moment) meanwhile we were enjoying an incredible view of "El faro monumental" . I highly recommend the restaurant 5/5 stars

Excellent value for money, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent and abundant buffet breakfast, with all the variety of products that can be found in any higher-star hotel. You can see that, although it is a somewhat old hotel, there is love and effort to provide good service at reasonable prices. Just one detail, it does not have elevators, which can be problematic in terms of inclusivity.

Hotel is close to the beach and other sights, like the Serena Lighthouse. It has a good swimming pool, breakfast buffet, restaurant and happy hour from 4 pm to 10 pm.

The room looked different than the pictures. There was a dirty carpet and a bad smell.

We stayed two nights at this hotel, on different days. The first night we had a small room with a sea view on the third floor (the hotel does not have an elevator). The hallways were a bit cold and they kept the windows and doors open, which made the sea breeze blow and increased the feeling of cold. The hotel is a bit old, however, everything was very clean. We asked for an extra blanket that was...

Overall it was a relatively pleasant experience. It is a hotel that cannot be classified as Top nor can it be left on the ground. It has ups and downs. The highs: the location and in general the attention. I must recognize the honesty of an official. The breakfast buffet varied and of good quality. The lows: of the 4 days in one they did not make the room despite leaving the card and reiterating the...

Amazing host The host went out of his way to give us directions and advice at our destinations. He even gave us his phone number in case we had trouble.

Location, location, location. That is all you need to know. Oh, they have secure motorcycle parking. That too is important. And the breakfast is AMAZING! But Location Rules. And this is just an amazing location. If you want a new, Americanized place, this might not be it. Hot shower too!

Wonderful little cabin. 2 bedroom perfect for a family of 3 or 2 couples. Very clean, great amenitied, wonderful staff.

The beach view was the best in La Serena and a short walk to very good restaurants also facing the sea. The hotel was very personable, room comfortable, breakfast buffet excellent, and the staff exceptionally helpful and attentive.

Super location and friendly staff.

Very clean place. Very neat. Service Attention was very good. Breakfast at the dinning room(located right by the side walk across the shore) was very good and the view the best in the city. There is also a restaurant across the street called El Muelle. Very good food and ambient.

We stayed at Cabanas Campanario for three nights in a little one bedroom apartment. We really liked the location, just steps from a gorgeous beach and a really well maintained walking and cycling avenue that parallels the beach for many kilometres. We were offered a breakfast buffet at a reduced price for registered guests and it was alright. We felt it was a little expensive for what was available...
