Peony Hotel in Luoyang

I feel conflicted when writing a review for this hotel. From the appearance and lobby of the hotel, it is indeed "high-end" (see attached photos), and it is definitely up to the four-star standard. The hotel is eye-catching when you first see it. The hotel's restaurant can accommodate more than 200 people dining at the same time, which can meet the needs of medium-sized meetings. There are dozens of private rooms with rich decorations to meet the dining choices of different guests. The six of us spent only more than 200 yuan for a dinner. The dishes were large in quantity and tasted good, especially the price was relatively affordable.
The guest rooms are average, and the facilities in the room feel old because they were established earlier. The bed in room 813 where we stayed had serious abnormal noises, which affected the guests' sleep. The other bed also had a squeak, but it was slightly lighter.
The bathroom is narrow, so guests have to take a bath in the bathtub. In addition, the faucet cannot be moved, which is very likely to cause harm to the elderly and people with limited mobility. This is a major flaw of the hotel (see photos).
The basin is blocked.
Although the hotel is a four-star hotel, I feel that the service awareness of the hotel front desk staff is somewhat different from the four-star service standards, and they need to be carefully trained.
The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good, and the guests are generally satisfied.
Here I would like to especially praise the master surnamed Chen who directs the vehicles outside the gate. He is not only responsible for the vehicle command, but also carefully explains the main attractions and walking routes of Luoyang to us drivers and passengers from other places. This is definitely a highlight of the hotel and deserves praise. I hope the hotel will go to a higher level.
