The location is very close to the North Gate Market, so you can easily grab a delicious breakfast there. Although it's in the old town, it's a quiet alleyway away from the hustle and bustle.

I loved the courtyard! You could sit there all day listening to the water. On New Year's Day morning, the hotel even had someone play the guzheng, which was truly enchanting.

The room was spacious and bright, the heating was good, the tissues were thick, the water temperature was good, and the bathroom didn't smell bad—all great.

The service was excellent. The front desk helped with my luggage, and on the morning of the 31st, they even had a small dessert. They also gave me a cute souvenir when I left. I'd definitely stay here again!

Aside from the slightly inconvenient parking, I was very satisfied overall and would recommend staying here.

A tasteful and welcoming courtyard hotel, conveniently located near the North Gate of the Ancient City, making it easy to explore the area on foot.

Environment: The hotel courtyard boasts a stunning view, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Service: The service is also a highlight. They contact you in advance to let you know when you're there, check-in is quick, and you're offered hot tea upon arrival. Sweet soup is served in the evening, and breakfast is packed for early departures. I'd recommend some nearby restaurants; some I tried were truly excellent value for money (Island Seven Family Restaurant). I also recommended the last March market of the year (many items were cheaper than in the Ancient City). Guests greet you upon arrival and departure (the owners really know how hard they work, haha).

Another noteworthy feature is the hotel's breakfast rice noodles, which are exceptionally delicious, better than many other places. The noodles are silky yet slightly chewy, and the broth is incredibly flavorful.

In short, highly recommended!!

The guesthouse has a great location, close to Cangshan Gate and North Gate. It's a five-minute walk to the North Gate market in the morning, and also very close to the March Street market. We even went there on a market day! [laughing emoji] The courtyard is beautiful and quiet despite being in a bustling area. There's a fish pond and a kitten in the yard, which the kids loved. The room was well-equipped with amenities, and the hot water pressure was excellent. The kids had a wonderful rose petal bath in the tub. The service was also great; everyone was very welcoming. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This was my first time visiting Yunnan, and I chose to stay in Dali Ancient City. I didn't have high expectations for a guesthouse, but I was pleasantly surprised! The environment is like a hidden gem; once you step into the courtyard, the outside noise just disappears. The staff were all very enthusiastic, helping me with my luggage and even escorting me to the taxi stand. They were happy to answer all my questions and recommend sightseeing routes. The room itself, aside from not having a TV, was no less comfortable than a hotel. Even the toiletries were a pleasant surprise and very good quality. It's also super convenient to get to the North Gate market. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I booked it for my friend and he said that although it was a little hard to find, the room was clean and nice.

The hotel's renovation of an old Bai ethnic minority dwelling is exceptional, with a striking design and exquisite materials. The redesigned room layout is particularly comfortable, even featuring three separate bathrooms. The lighting design is a highlight: using only a single main light and table lamps, complemented by carefully concealed light strips, creates a vibrant atmosphere while ensuring ample illumination, never feeling dim. The original gabled roof and small arches have been perfectly preserved, while the windows offer stunning views. The bathroom floor tiles are highly hydrophobic and pleasant to the touch, and the Typology toiletries are a testament to their thoughtfulness. The overall color scheme is harmonious, and the unique and beautiful green of the bedside cloth is undoubtedly a carefully selected product. The courtyard, designed in a neo-Chinese style, is equally pleasing to the eye; further improvements in the utilization of the public areas would be even better.
