Where to stay in La Romana

The resort was clean, inviting, and quite a hidden gem of Bahia Principe properties. The staff at this resort were friendly, several spoke English, and most were knowledgable. Having access to 4 large and very nice pool areas was great. The room was okay but the room cleaning staff was excellent. Staff was great and all around service. One thing they need to put in place is Ice machine in the buildings instead of waiting for room service for this.

The staff alone (entertainment) they will definitely see me again. There are so many food options you can’t even decide what to get because everything looks AND tastes amazing the Japanese restaurant was BY FAR our favorite! We ordered room service at all hours and they always delivered. The pools were so much fun! There’s a quiet pool where to read/tan and things like that if that’s more your vibe...

Staff were great and buffet had variety for picky eaters and others alike. Music at pool and shows was very loud so we had to sit far away but overall great family trip

Everyone was very attentive the most I like was the food and their service I also like the activities committee, they are very attentive and make sure that your stay make you happy. Love it

Food was ok but not the greatest in taste and quality. The beach water was not clear at all.. could not see my feet even in ankle deep water and I was stung by jelly fish and got random rashes my whole visit aswell as upset tummy and diarrhea. Other beaches such as Mexico beach are a lot clearer.. was unable to see any coral reefs or fish from the beach or pier.

Honesty I didnt have big expectations for this resort but it is small and eash to navigate than the Punta Cana big hotels and you really get to know the staff. Had a great time. Food was hot and so much selection. Food being hot at a buffet is crucial and it was great here.

Love the whole resort, everything was up to par with the beach, pool, food. I wish they had more activities and the room's AC was always breaking down and turning off. The AC was at 80-85 the whole time and I had to keep complaining.

It was good I liked the hotel. Didn’t love the location. It was comfortable and good breakfast.

Not the best area to be able to walk to points of interest. And the area around the hotel is very dirty and right off a main road but inside the property the hotel feels resort like with a garden and pool with a swim up bar. Pool was amazing and seating was conformable. And breakfast was great I recommend combo 4. I didn't like the rooms so much because the showers take about 4mins to heat up. Also...

Property was well kept albeit a bit simple, but a good value for the price. Food is ordinary, but ok for a short stay. 10-15 min taxi from the cruise port. Not near the beaches, so if that's your thing, look elsewhere. Also helps to be bilingual .

I had a great time staying there, great staff and good security. I would highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to come back.

This property is very good for a one night stay if you are boarding a ship in the nearby port. They have a pool and a restaurant and you don’t need to leave the compound. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Hotel needs updating in terms of facilities and accommodations. It was clean in spite of the primitive amenities. Overall the staff was wonderful and totally accommodating. They worked well together and provided excellent service.

Nice, clean hotel, nothing exceptional but you have all you need and all in all everything is in order. Very good value for money and friendly staff. A little bit noisy at night and it was only possible to pay in cash. Overall, thumbs up!

The hotel offers excellent value for money, located right in the colonial district, making shopping very convenient. It has an open-air restaurant with very good food. My room didn't have a window, but the ceiling was very high, so it didn't feel cramped at all. The facilities are a bit dated, but that's insignificant compared to the price! The staff were also very friendly!

The hotel needs a complete restoration. Do not expect a spa, or Jacuzzi. Nothing like a resort. It's only a quiet place to sleep in for a couple of days, and go outside after breakfast. They need to redecorate the place. Very good attention. I was expecting a good breakfast, and had it. I would like the place to be upgraded with kind of decor and the breakfast area to be rebuilt better.

If you are looking for real Dominican Republic atmosphere with friendly people, this Hostel would be good for you, very friendly staff in Hotel, they doing their best, tasty, tasty breakfast, Little bit problem with booking and expectations room could be different from , which you are booked and the price little little different too , but in general good .

Wonderful hotel with all the amenities and location that Amy visitor to la Romana could ask for. Centrally located, excellent staff cater to you personally. The owners are always on site and very helpful.

Room is clean and staff is friendly. Didn’t get what I ordered but it was just for three nights so I said nothing. 3 stars because it’s very loud the whole time and there is no parking in front of the hotel or directly there.

This place is AMAZING! The people are so nice. It's a small place but cozy.

This is a family owned hotel, so as soon as you enter the place the staff makes you feel like home. The breakfast is awesome and filling for person. With local fruits and natural juices done at the moment. We love it.
