The staff are friendly and very accommodating, the restaurants have been very good so far. I'd recommend this resort to anyone, the only downside is the sea isn't as clear as other resorts I've stayed at because of a river outlet just along the coast. We visited saona island yesterday which I'd highly recommend, tomorrow we are visiting catalina for some snorkeling, looking forward to that.

The room was large and very clean, with the minibar included and restocked daily.
Entertainment was great fun, and the team were so funny and personable, remembering our names and greeting us every morning - especially Mickey Mouse.
The food was good, with a wide range of local and international food. I found myself saying “I’m not too hungry so I will only have a bit” then filling whole plates because I wanted to try everything!
Above all else the staff were incredible! So friendly and attentive, while always smiling/laughing - it really made the whole experience.
Day 2: Was very excited to see a clean beach with green flag, so went to swim in the ocean but got bitten by jellyfish. Was in severe pain for an hour, no lifeguard at the beach or first-aid help very disappointed. We were not warned about the jellyfish issue. After speaking to few people at the beach found out several people faced the same issue. Went to reception lobby and complained. Next day red flag was on in the morning for a week, switched to purple flag in the evening. Very disappointed couldn't use the ocean for swimming. Beautiful resort ended up in the pool instead of ocean.
Day 1 to 8: Restaurants had flies on food was very disgusting and unhealthy. Cats were under the table, crows were flying, very bad strong smell couldn't enjoy the food at the pool restaurant was very disappointing.
Entertainment team: training dancing and aqua aerobics were too busy insulting guests instead of training in the name called fun, which was very disappointing.
Air canada rep at the lobby was suppose to meet us from 1pm to 5pm but did not show up until 2:30pm, we had to wait and waste our time just to find out our departure time from resort was very disappointing day before we left.
Day of the arrival at the resort we were asked to meet at the lobby next day morning to find out departure schedule and info, but only to find out it was only to sell excursions. We were lied was very disappointing. Excursions were sold at different prices at the lobby compared to beach side was very disappointing.
Food was good, few staff were very friendly and helpful, room was very clean and excellent housekeeping. But I will never go back to this resort or suggest this resort to anyone. I was very disappointed with my 1 week vacation at this beautiful resort due to the above mentioned issues.
