A fine place with a few hick ups. The property was overall great. Service was outstanding. The kitchen extractor in my apartment didn’t work. That was the only problem. Beautiful property but for a luxury property I would have expected better amenities. No blow dryer in either bathroom ( you had to request). No amenities in the kitchen, not even salt. Resturant food was excellent but very limited. It is suppose to be a combination of hotel and apartment but falls a bit short
The staff is extremely kind. The property itself needs updating. My room smelled of cigarettes upon arrival. There was no hot water. The WiFi is not great. The staff is wonderful.

This is a lovely place to spend some relaxation time and yet close to everything ! Steps from the beach. The pool was perfect. Very clean and neat and the host is always available if you need help.

Excellent resort- beautiful scenery and flowers. The staff at the Sunclub were excellent especially Julissa and Nichole. Elizabeth at the buffet great service and always knew what you needed. The Coco Cafe was great - the cappuccinos were fantastic. So sad that Sunscape is closing.

We found stale, slimy and smelly watermelon and beans in the buffet multiple times. We also saw completely dried up pancakes and other meat and items like chicken coz they were directly placed on a hot surface. Other than food, the place was clean and reasonably priced.

Amazing resort.. the service and food was spectacular. our server was the absolute best. the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful.. there was a few people selling souvenirs.. they weren’t too aggressive which was nice. they sold cigars, bags, scarves at a reasonable price. surprisingly they offered cigar samples which was very nice. i would definitely go back again
The food is outstanding, the facilities and the staff are phenomenal and the setting is lovely. Transportation to and from the beach, where you have dedicated bar facilities as well as food. Just returned from a week here (1-8 Jun), the low season! We were in search of quiet and relaxing and that's exactly what we got. The first 5 days we were there, there were definitely less than 50 other people. Service was excellent, food quality was excellent and varied. The entire resort was constantly being cleaned and security was patrolling at all times to give you that extra sense of safety...
The resort is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was not the best and there was only limited options. There is so much more they could do when it comes to food. We had the royal package and it was worth the extra money - access to the private pool and the vintage bar is what made this vacation. Our room was spacious and clean.

Viva Heavens is a small resort with a long walk to the beach. The buffet for breakfast and lunch and snacks are subpar to say the least however the restaurant food was really good. Cleanliness is the most outstanding quality. I think the facilities need an upgrade.
Beautiful location on the beach and golf course. Rooms are old and vastly different from new condos there. But it's still a good hotel for the price. The restaurant and all staff are excellent, great food and service. Benny at the bar is exceptional!
The staff are very friendly and helpful! This hotel is older so one should expect to find an older pool, older sliding doors and bath tubs etc. I was not planning to need to spend the night in Puerto Plata but I am definitely thinking about planning a trip back to stay here again!
Older facilities, but nice and clean. The facilities (room) was dated, but mostly worked fine. The restaurant was good/friendly/clean. The beach-side restaurant was under construction (being renovated).
The room was comfortable and had a good view of the golf course. The service, especially at the restaurants, was fantastic. Easy access to the beach, and the chill music by the cabanas was relaxing.
Experience I was there for only one night, so there is not much to tell except inside my room was super clean and well organized

The resort was nice, but could have some improvements. It would be nice if they add coffee maker in the room, add hair conditioner in the bathroom, the food was poor, not many choices. But the beach was perfect and we had a great time on our vacation.
Area around the pool was very nice. Everybody was so welcome, nice and friendly. My biggest issue was the cleanliness in the room as it didn’t look very clean.
Playa Bachata resort is a 3 star experience. If you want a low cost all inclusive getaway, this place works. Don't expect high-quality food, drinks, or activities and you won't be disappointed. It was great, the buffet could be better and the nightly shows too.
The facilities are very good on the outside, but inside the rooms they should renovate everything, very old, the food is average, very average, at the buffet, always the same food, they didn't have sugar-free Coca Cola in the restaurants or saccharin anywhere, a problem for me since I am diabetic.
