We stayed in a third floor room with a sea view. Not the largest of spaces, but everything worked well (telly temperamental) had a large comfy bed and a decent bathroom. La Barriere Royal La Baule is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The room, the lobby, the pool, the breakfast - everything was great. The staff was very helpful. Great location next to the beach and a short walk to shops and restaurants. We will definitely come back.

Lovely hotel, in a great position. Recently renovated with excellent contemporary styled bedrooms. We enjoyed a great 2 night stay here, eating once in the restaurant - great menu, good food, great service. We loved the indoor and outdoor pools, free to residents, but car parking a bit steep at 33 euros per day. We would stay there again if we return to La Baule.

This is a homely hotel situated around 150m from the long sandy beach in La Baule. It is a similar distance from the excellent market, restaurants and shops. It consists of 4 or 5 traditional villas that have been purchased by the owners over a number of years and is situated in a residential area. We had three nights here as part of our summer holiday and can't recommend it enough. Run by a very friendly and welcoming couple this hotel was perfect for our stay. The family room had two bedrooms and seemed recently refurbished. The hotel is beautifully furnished and is located 5 mins stroll to the sea front. The breakfast was also excellent, well worth a try. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Castel Marie-louise. I was impressed with the level of luxury for the price on the beach. The room, bed and bath were clean and comfortable. The view was amazing! I was working and my husband was sightseeing. I would highly recommend it.

This hotel is really 5 * The architecture is stunning and the luxury through out the hotel is first class. Parking in La Baule is challenging - all on street. The Hotel has there own private Car Park which is very convenient but it is expensive at 22 Euros per night! The Staff are very attentive to ensure your stay is first class. The Castel Marie-Louise is an exceptional hotel with superb service, the staff so friendly and attentive, very elegant, comfort excellent. The food was outstanding. It was by far the best hotel experience we've ever had. I would live there permanently if I could. :)

Spent 6 nights here last week. It was exactly what we were looking for as a base to play some local golf courses. The superior room was spotlessly clean, big enough and with a decent shower over the bath. A bit more storage would help but we managed. We only had one breakfast but it good. Accustomed to the best westerns, the hotel avenue bois d'amour is not worth a 4 star....we had room 212. Stained carpet, cobwebs in the toilet room without sink. no ds bathroom socket. Poor finish. Breakfast is not worth the price, almost nothing left, even the bread. Spa clean but not cheesy. Mold on the walls and dirty and greasy jacuzzi waterline. Disappointed for the Spa part, the hammam was out of service, we were supposed to be 4 people max but there were 6 of us, so we were not able to enjoy the Spa as much as we would have liked. For the hotel part, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied.

Lutetia is in a quiet street only 3 minutes walk from the main street.Rooms are modern and comfortable and although not huge they have everyting you need.Ours was in the annexe across the road from the main Hotel.Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very well located, just 50 meters from the sea. The welcome was perfect, the staff very pleasant, the room clean, and the bathroom small for a standard room, but perfect for a weekend. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, with sweet and savory options, fruit, juice, pastries—everything you could want! The luggage storage service was a real bonus. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is well -located (1 block from the beach, 5 mins from the center of town) and very clean. Nice touch to have a roof deck but wish I could have had drinks there. I appreciated the bottle of water everyday and the bed and a/c was very comfortable. Definitely will come back. Bon rapport qualité prix!

I would recommend this hotel if staying in La Boule. 50m from beach and a 5 minute walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. Nice roof terrace for sunbathing and you can take drinks up from the ground floor bar. The hotel allows dogs although the beaches don't.

Excellent Enjoyed a long weekend took the deluxe room option and enjoyed the large enough for 2 jacuzzi in the bathroom. Parking directly opposite the hotel and just around the corner from main shopping amd restaurants. I would also really recommend The Restaurant Brigitte for some fine dining at a reasonable price.

A great place near the train station Super nice hotel we just were there for one night. We needed to stay close to the train station and it was perfect. The rooms were large very clean. Super nice family that runs the place and nice big bathroom with a spot up. We didn’t use the tub, but it was definitely really nice.

The room was just as advertised with a lovely jacuzzi bath. The breakfast was excellent, even bacon and egg on the menu. There is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant just around the corner. Right next to the station but very quiet when we stayed in October. Annabelle was really friendly and helpful.

Strategic position in front of the splendid railway station, in the immediate vicinity a couple of restaurants, a cocktail bar and a city bike station. The staff is super helpful for any questions or information they are always very kind. Cleanliness ok, room ok.

The hotel is very well located, a 2-minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the city center. The rooms are very clean, albeit a little small, but very functional. The welcome was also very warm, and the owners are pleasant. The only downside is the price of breakfast, given the selection: 14 euros for two mini pastries and drinks.

Excellent hotel! I stayed there in November for a business event. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated! The staff is very friendly and they even arranged for breakfast to be served early to fit our work schedule. Note that there is no free parking on site. I highly recommend it!

Myself and my wife had an amazing trip to La Pameraie for our honey moon this summer. The service from Jean-Noel was nothing short of 1st class. Felt like we were inconveniencing the owners… Their attitude was that they were doing us a massive favour, despite us paying €1850 for four nights. Aside from that a lovely place with a beautiful room and balcony, a good buffet breakfast and good dinner - but due to the attitude of the owners we would not return. Also - if in the family suite, watch your toes on the sink unit - the wood at the bottom...

This is a self service hotel with just 1 staff at od hours. Not possible to get any service during most of the day. No coffe, cocktails etc. We wanted to have drinks, coffe , rent bycicles. but there is very limited service here.
