Hôtel des Marins in St. Malo

Excellent, decent hotel on beautiful location in Saint-Malo close to all major city parking space. Friendly staff (special credits to the night staff who took care of us at 2 am!) with a 24-hour reception which is unfortunately getting a rare thing in hotels. Nicely equipped bedrooms with by Saint-Malo norms especially spacious and modern bathrooms. Cleanliness on a high level! We will definitely go back!

Hotel.was very good, Inside the walls but parking can problematic.
All the staff where very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable.
All.in all, most enjoyable.

Clean, modern rooms with good water pressure & nice smelling handwash, 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner and shower gel.
We had a corner room with 3 windows, which let in a cool breeze during the summer days we were there, since there were no AC or fan. The only issue we had being right smack in the center of it all, was the noise at night, that not even ear plugs could shut out. If you are a light sleeper, we would recommend asking for another room that doesn't face the bustling stairs to the church.
A mix bag of rude (one of the male receptionist who checked us in) and nice (the night manager & ladies who checked us out) staff, which we have come to expect in these parts. 😜

Service was “impeccable “. We needed to change rooms and ultimately had adjoining rooms. Front of house were positive and helpful. Rooms were a little small but what was more important were the bathrooms which were of a size that a couple could share. Water was hot, towels fine and cleanliness could not be faulted. Breakfast service was started early on account of our early ferry departure. 5⭐️service.
Location for the sites of St Malo “intra muros” was convenient for the ferry and inter city train station apart from the shopping which was a bonus as it was sale day throughput. If you are interested in marine style ware or in eg Lacoste/Petit Batesu it may cover your expenses if you arrive on this day if held especially more than once a year.
St Malo has upgraded itself

Located in the center of the old town, it is convenient for walking around.
The staff was kind.
The room we stayed in was small, but the bathroom was spacious with a bathtub.
There is heating but no air conditioning, so the room may be quite hot in the summer. (It was a little hot even at the end of May.)
There is a kettle in the room, but no refrigerator.

Very pleasant hotel for its services and location.

The room was a bit small and the breakfast lacked fresh fruit and honey apart from that everything was very good
