Grand Hôtel des Thermes, St. Malo1 / 30

St. Malo, 100 Boulevard Hébert 🧭 Map
We had a short but wonderful trip to Saint-Malo! Our experience at Le Grand Hotel des Thermes was extremely inviting, comfortable and elegant. While we didn't have the opportunity to dine at the hotel directly, we enjoyed drinks at the bar and a spectacular view. We were traveling with our 3 children and we had a more than ideal room setup for our family with an adequate amount of space and breathtaking...
How this hotel possesses a 5 star accreditation is beyond comprehension. The facilities are tired and outdated, and the food a disaster. Anyone partial to frozen tomato in the salad?
Very good location. Beautiful view and comfortable bed. Kind of older rooms but in general it was a good stay. P.S. they don’t offer much bucket to be delivered to the room. They put the ice in a plastic bag instead!
The 20M salt-water pool was the highlight, kept at a comfortable 30 degrees C. The rest of the aqua center was amazing. We had no opportunity to try the hotel restaurants. It's a bit of a hike to the old town, but it's a lovely walk along or beside the beach. The Nespresso machine in tthe room was a nice touch. The mattress was on the firm side, the way we like it. I expect it would be comfortable...
We spent one night in this high scale, elegant waterfront hotel. Room was great, bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Great

St. Malo, 64, Chaussée du Sillon 🧭 Map
The hotel is amazing. The room was beautiful with the most stunning view. The restaurant was brilliant with very tasty food. But most of all the staff were all so kind and helpful.
After having to leave our previous rental last minute, we called the Hotel Nouveau Monde. The staff very kindly booked us one of the few remaining rooms, and when we arrived less than an hour later, they had even upgraded us! The whole staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Taking care of us, making sure everything was alright, they were always genuinely smiling and available, whether it be the reception...
Spotless room, very polite and kind staff. The hotel amenities are fantastic. You’re a bit of a walk into town but it’s a nice walk along the beach. Highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for a very quick stop gap, arriving late at night and leaving very early. We did not have time to use facilities, but from what I experienced, the hotel was very nice. Rooms were good, very well kept and nicely designed. Staff were very friendly and helped us organise a taxi for the morning (despite it being 10pm on a Sunday night and having to ring around 6 or 7 taxi firms!). If I re-vist...
The ocean view from our room was spectacular, a great way to take in the impressive tidal swings of Saint-Malo. The location couldn't be better for wandering the beach and for walking into the town walls. This is a top-notch operation and it shows in every aspect. Saint-Malo exceeded our expectations and so did this hotel, hope to be back one day!
We stayed in this hotel in July and we had an amazing time. A friend who lives in cancale recommended me this hotel and I was not disappointed. I have been to Saint Malo before but it was the first time with my mother. She enjoyed every minute of her stay and wants to go back. We had an amazing room facing the water. The room was very nice and comfy. The hotel has a great pool, easy to access for people...

Near the train station and a walk away from the Walls of St Malo. Would stay again.
Close to the station, it's a 20 minutes walk to the city center (which is some kind of a tourist trap, at least in August). There are a good restaurants nearby. Maybe not too romantic, but very reasonable
The hotel is well located (across from the train station for those who come by train), close to a few nice restaurants (Bar à Naan and La Taverne with seafood specialties), and a 15 minute leisurely walk to the old walled city. The people at reception are very kind and welcoming. I had a privilege room. The only offered fizzy drink was coke, which I don't like. A bigger choice (like in other Mercure...
Ac was malfunctioning during our stay. They did provide us with fans instead. The shower temperature was fluctuating, you'll feel some short bursts of cold or hot water. Nothing dangerous. Breakfast was good but you need to be quick on the eggs. We always arrived in the last half hour of the opening times but refills weren't always plentiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s a 10–15 minute drive from the fortified area of Saint Malo, which was very convenient, and ample parking was available. The property is well maintained, clean, and modern, with a stunning pool area. We were fortunate to have the pool to ourselves in the morning and enjoyed a swim. The only minor drawback was that the smart TVs had the streaming feature...
Great staff, friendly and efficient, safe and ample parking, clean excellent value for money
Great client service! Nice pool\sauna area. Room a little small compared to North American standards but served its purpose :)
Honestly, we were SO impressed with EVERY aspect of this hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff, excellent rooms, wonderful steam room, the cleanest rooms, tons of parking, excellent location, free coffee and cookies, food available24 hrs a day... we would stay here in a heartbeat again. Wonderful.
Very nice hotel with a magnificent spa, pool, hammam, balneotherapy center. No negative points.
If you have transport then it's only a 10min drive into St malo Town centre so the location suited me perfectly.... The pool, sauna and steam room were absolutely immaculate ,friendly staff especially reception and bilingual, rooms a tad on the small side but only just..... Breakfast was good and with a huge selection.... As a low earner I'm looking for as good as I can get for the best price and personally...

Absolutely lovely hotel! Staff utterly charming and extremely professional! Room very confortable and impeccably maintained. Excellent restaurant with wonderful chef and delightful staff. Loved the pool and the garden lit at night and so pleasant on a nice day. Lastly the surroundings in Parame are really nice . Great architecture and the beach just 3 mn away . We shall be back for sure !
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The redevelopment has been done with great style and grace. The room was very well appointed and very comfortable. We would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to visit
Fabulous newly renovated Hotel. I have to give it a full 5* Suite with the hot tub is a must.
Great stay! We had the « suite signature ». Very nice with a small view of the nearby sea.

Great location with a nice view of the seafront from the bedroom.
The hotel is well placed, comfortable and enjoys superb views of the seafront.
The hotel is located on the seafront and has outstanding views over the sea. It is an 15 minute walk to the old town. Our prestige room was quite well equipped but rather tired. The decor belonged in the 1980s. Cleanliness could have been better. There is a bright breakfast area and the choices on offer were very good.
Perfectly set at the coastline with a nice ambience. Breakfast is a little crowded and the lovely, kind staff cannot keep up with the demand. The beds are too short for me at 186 cm. No fitness, but a small sauna. Parking is a little difficult, but P+R Feval is cheap and there's a bus running which is free for 24h and costs just 2 € after that which you can pay with card in the busses.
One night stay over. On the sea front. Easy to get to from old town and ferry terminal. 25 minute walk. Very helpful staff. Nice room. Great breakfast.
Unfortunately, this was only an overnight stop again, en route to our early ferry departure but, as always, Mercure Front de Mer provided an excellent standard. We had the surprise of an upgrade to a room with a full sea view which was very much appreciated - thank you Front de Mer! All staff we spoke with were very helpful. They always represent the hotel very well indeed. We'll be back again!

In our 10 days (and 8 more to go) journey in Brittany/Normandy, this is probably the worst service we got. Am I feel very sorry about that, as the hotel building is gorgeous and the location in the intra-mutos city is fabulous. But. The service at reception was terrible. We reached the hotel and the two young receptionists stood there talking to each others for a good 2 min without greeting or any...
This hotel is now starting to look a little dated, which has charm but also downsides. There are better rooms, but it’s pot luck whether you get an older or upgraded room. The restaurant is amazing and the terrace ideal for a drink before dinner.
The welcome from the staff, room was clean and delightful. The bar area was busy and a good buzz and the crepes Suzette were as good as I remembered. Lovely staff once again on check out already rebooked
Helpful and approachable staff! Limited WiFi with no English speaking TV channels! Heating would have been helpful as one day very cold! We have had a great few days! Thank you!
The hotel has a good location in the old part of town, within the city walls, and close to the beginning of the rampart walk around the old town. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We had a room facing the castle, but could still see the ocean. We could drive to the hotel when we arrived, but beware there are times when getting to the hotel by car can be a bit more challenging since...

Staff was courteous, the room was great, clean room and everything was nice.
The hotel was in a perfect location, very clean, and the staff were generally nice. However, the room temperature was a serious issue. The central control system doesn’t allow you to increase the temperature above 22°C, and even though I told them I was feeling sick, they didn’t take any action. They only said it’s their policy not to increase the temperature. This really affected my comfort during...
OK for a stop-over The room was a bit basic and cramped.
Pet friendly. Very nice receptionist on arrival. 10 mins drive from ferry. At the back of large parking near big supermarket. I stayed on sunday night so that was not a issue. Very nice bakery 50m away. Perfect for lunch!
Handy for the port We always stay here when we are travelling to/from St Malo. The hotel is near the dock so very handy, always clean, the room is small but sufficient. Would like a kellte in the room so a hot drink could be made.
Disappointed We were given a room that was clean and functional but the aircon didn’t work - i reported it to reception and was told it was the whole hotel that had an issue - there was nothing that could be done and i was given a small fan. Later in the bar we noticed the aircon was working so i spoke to a different receptionist who advised that it was only our room that was not working! I asked...

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food. Fairly basic in terms of accommodation and facilities but clean and tidy and gave us everything we wanted.

The staff were incredibly kind and happily stored our luggage for us. We booked a room with a sea view, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. It would have been nice to have drinks in the room, but overall, it was a great stay. It's about a 17-minute walk from the station, and there are some delicious wine bars and bakeries nearby.
All the staff were excellent, very welcoming and always smiling. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was superb.
Perfect night, smiling and kind staff. Excellent breakfast.
It's conveniently located by the sea, the service is quite good, and it's worth going again.
Parking was done on the street using an automatic parking machine to purchase time. It's about a 20-minute walk to the old town. The hotel breakfast was average, the room was small, the lighting was dim, and the bathroom lacked a separate shower and toilet area.
Excellent location. Walking distance from the historical center. The hotel is located right on the embankment. But the hotel staff are very polite and friendly. Probably the most friendly in all my trips to France. Delicious and hearty breakfast.

The Chateau is amazing! The architecture is beautiful as are the guest rooms, drawing room and dining / breakfast room. The surrounding property and lake is beautiful. Our hosts Sebastien, Nicholas and chef Sokho were great. Highly Recommended!!
Old and quirky ! Very comfortable beds, rooms, very clean and excellent attentive staff. The restaurant and cuisine personally let the hotel down with Breton/asian fusion ! Also directions very difficult to find .
The staff and food were excellent but our superior room did not feel comfortable and well functioning.
This hotel is a lovely old world castle set on beautiful grounds. It's 5-10 min outside St. Malo so you need a car to get there. Uber would be difficult and you can't walk. But it was perfect for us! Free parking for rental cars. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and would recommend it to friends. Great experience if you want to stay in a chateau instead of a Hilton!

2nd time staying in this hotel. An excellent hotel and the restaurant was wonderful with very good food. 10/10.
Very nice location. Small, very clean room with bathtub. Only drawbacks are the parking and breakfast prices. It's also important to be clear about the check-in time: 2 p.m. on the official website, 3 p.m. on Trip.com, and 4 p.m. on site.
The hotel is more than 2 kilometers away from Saint-Malo train station. Take bus No. 5 to Pasteur. You can see the signs of various hotels when you get off the bus. Walk about 100 meters. Stayed two nights on a trip to Normandy and Brittany. Lovely hotel overlooking an endless beach full of seagulls and surfers. Fresh air and surf. Private parking, great restaurant overlooking the sea, friendly staff, lift. Quiet, peaceful area but not too far from the ramparts.
Romantic, seaview is necessary!
The family room is so nice. Three girls, one bed each. I definitely recommend this hotel if you come to Saint-Malo, because it is right outside the sea. Wearing a bathrobe, go out for a swim and return to the hotel in an instant. The hotel has its own restaurant, which you must try. The boss's service is very, very, very good. The seafood is very fresh and clean. The price is also very favorable.

Nice hotel in lovely town Only issue we really had was with parking and charging electric car. As we were on holiday we had a roofbox on. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. The location was excellent and the room had a lovely sea view. We had breakfast at the hotel, but were disappointed as there was only one small bowl of scrambled eggs supplied for all customers, which could not be refreshed. Also the only plate available was the one on the table, when we asked for another clean one we were told we had to use the one on the table...
Average Very expensive for what it is. At this price, you expect a clean room and a bed at least 160x200cm... but instead, you get a small 140x190cm one. A poorly soundproofed beachfront room; I didn't have this problem during a stay at a competing hotel in the same location. During our absence, the room was renovated, but room service forgot to lock the door... The cleanliness level wasn't great,...

If you keep the window closed for quietness, it's roasting inside. The beds are also too short and i'm only 187cm. If you want to park your car it's 15 euros per day (it's free on street parking so dont bother), if you want...
The hotel was tastefully decorated with a bright, modern nautical/industrial theme and the room was very clean and adequately appointed. Unusually, the room had a separate toilet and shower room.
