We had a short but wonderful trip to Saint-Malo! Our experience at Le Grand Hotel des Thermes was extremely inviting, comfortable and elegant. While we didn't have the opportunity to dine at the hotel directly, we enjoyed drinks at the bar and a spectacular view. We were traveling with our 3 children and we had a more than ideal room setup for our family with an adequate amount of space and breathtaking...
How this hotel possesses a 5 star accreditation is beyond comprehension. The facilities are tired and outdated, and the food a disaster. Anyone partial to frozen tomato in the salad?
Very good location. Beautiful view and comfortable bed. Kind of older rooms but in general it was a good stay. P.S. they don’t offer much bucket to be delivered to the room. They put the ice in a plastic bag instead!
The 20M salt-water pool was the highlight, kept at a comfortable 30 degrees C. The rest of the aqua center was amazing. We had no opportunity to try the hotel restaurants. It's a bit of a hike to the old town, but it's a lovely walk along or beside the beach. The Nespresso machine in tthe room was a nice touch. The mattress was on the firm side, the way we like it. I expect it would be comfortable...
We spent one night in this high scale, elegant waterfront hotel. Room was great, bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Great

The hotel is amazing. The room was beautiful with the most stunning view. The restaurant was brilliant with very tasty food. But most of all the staff were all so kind and helpful.
After having to leave our previous rental last minute, we called the Hotel Nouveau Monde. The staff very kindly booked us one of the few remaining rooms, and when we arrived less than an hour later, they had even upgraded us!
The whole staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Taking care of us, making sure everything was alright, they were always genuinely smiling and available, whether it be the reception...
Spotless room, very polite and kind staff. The hotel amenities are fantastic. You’re a bit of a walk into town but it’s a nice walk along the beach. Highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for a very quick stop gap, arriving late at night and leaving very early. We did not have time to use facilities, but from what I experienced, the hotel was very nice. Rooms were good, very well kept and nicely designed. Staff were very friendly and helped us organise a taxi for the morning (despite it being 10pm on a Sunday night and having to ring around 6 or 7 taxi firms!). If I re-vist...
The ocean view from our room was spectacular, a great way to take in the impressive tidal swings of Saint-Malo. The location couldn't be better for wandering the beach and for walking into the town walls. This is a top-notch operation and it shows in every aspect. Saint-Malo exceeded our expectations and so did this hotel, hope to be back one day!
We stayed in this hotel in July and we had an amazing time. A friend who lives in cancale recommended me this hotel and I was not disappointed. I have been to Saint Malo before but it was the first time with my mother. She enjoyed every minute of her stay and wants to go back. We had an amazing room facing the water. The room was very nice and comfy. The hotel has a great pool, easy to access for people...

Near the train station and a walk away from the Walls of St Malo. Would stay again.
Close to the station, it's a 20 minutes walk to the city center (which is some kind of a tourist trap, at least in August). There are a good restaurants nearby. Maybe not too romantic, but very reasonable
The hotel is well located (across from the train station for those who come by train), close to a few nice restaurants (Bar à Naan and La Taverne with seafood specialties), and a 15 minute leisurely walk to the old walled city. The people at reception are very kind and welcoming. I had a privilege room. The only offered fizzy drink was coke, which I don't like. A bigger choice (like in other Mercure...
Ac was malfunctioning during our stay. They did provide us with fans instead.
The shower temperature was fluctuating, you'll feel some short bursts of cold or hot water. Nothing dangerous.
Breakfast was good but you need to be quick on the eggs. We always arrived in the last half hour of the opening times but refills weren't always plentiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s a 10–15 minute drive from the fortified area of Saint Malo, which was very convenient, and ample parking was available. The property is well maintained, clean, and modern, with a stunning pool area. We were fortunate to have the pool to ourselves in the morning and enjoyed a swim.
The only minor drawback was that the smart TVs had the streaming feature...
Great staff, friendly and efficient, safe and ample parking, clean excellent value for money
Great client service! Nice pool\sauna area. Room a little small compared to North American standards but served its purpose :)
Honestly, we were SO impressed with EVERY aspect of this hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff, excellent rooms, wonderful steam room, the cleanest rooms, tons of parking, excellent location, free coffee and cookies, food available24 hrs a day... we would stay here in a heartbeat again. Wonderful.
Very nice hotel with a magnificent spa, pool, hammam, balneotherapy center.
No negative points.
If you have transport then it's only a 10min drive into St malo Town centre so the location suited me perfectly....
The pool, sauna and steam room were absolutely immaculate ,friendly staff especially reception and bilingual, rooms a tad on the small side but only just.....
Breakfast was good and with a huge selection....

Absolutely lovely hotel! Staff utterly charming and extremely professional! Room very confortable and impeccably maintained. Excellent restaurant with wonderful chef and delightful staff. Loved the pool and the garden lit at night and so pleasant on a nice day. Lastly the surroundings in Parame are really nice . Great architecture and the beach just 3 mn away . We shall be back for sure !
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The redevelopment has been done with great style and grace. The room was very well appointed and very comfortable. We would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to visit
Fabulous newly renovated Hotel. I have to give it a full 5* Suite with the hot tub is a must.
Great stay! We had the « suite signature ». Very nice with a small view of the nearby sea.

Nice hotel in lovely town
Only issue we really had was with parking and charging electric car. As we were on holiday we had a roofbox on. Although I did reserve a parking spot, I was not informed about a 1.85 Metre height restriction on the parking. We had to find our own parking and could not charge our car overnight.
Perfect position
Lovely welcome from reception, great location, parking and facilities.
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were really friendly, family room on 5th floor with a sea view was fantastic! Beach, restaurants, coffee shops etc. were just a few steps away. Would definitely recommend!
Really helpful friendly staff, excellent proximity to the beach and 15 minute walk into walled city area. We were given a very early check in, as our room was ready on arrival in the morning. Nice quiet room with sea view, so couldn’t be happier with our stay!
Loft room was great for the kids. Beach across the road. 15 min walk to Intramuros. Street parking is free. Breakfast was wonderful especially the Malo yoghurt. Could do with a bar fridge and more storage. The mirror/wardrobe was awkward. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The room wasn't large, but it was comfortable and clean, making it a comfortable stay for five days. It's just 1 km from the station (about a 15-minute walk) and about 1 km from Intramuros, a major tourist attraction. The nearest coffee shop is about 300 meters away, a supermarket about 500 meters away, and a slightly larger supermarket about 1 km away (in the opposite direction from downtown), making...

Excellent hotel - Great location
Hotel was excellent. Absolutely great location in walled city - easy access to shops and ramparts. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, no A/C available - opened the windows to get room cooler - was OK, but not ideal.
We would definitely stay here again.
Staff excellent and accommodating. Also loved the family restaurants which were recommended. Will be back!
Reception services are very nice and helpful. We had to leave early as 5.50 to the station the following morning, the lady at reception offered to arrange taking away breakfast. We asked taxis service in the early morning that
Brilliant hotel right in the middle of things. Stayed for one night, family of 4 in one room and there was plenty of room and beds were comfortable. Loved it.

In our 10 days (and 8 more to go) journey in Brittany/Normandy, this is probably the worst service we got. Am I feel very sorry about that, as the hotel building is gorgeous and the location in the intra-mutos city is fabulous.

This hotel is now starting to look a little dated, which has charm but also downsides. There are better rooms, but it’s pot luck whether you get an older or upgraded room. The restaurant is amazing and the terrace ideal for a drink before dinner.
The welcome from the staff, room was clean and delightful. The bar area was busy and a good buzz and the crepes Suzette were as good as I remembered. Lovely staff once again on check out already rebooked
Helpful and approachable staff!
Limited WiFi with no English speaking TV channels!
Heating would have been helpful as one day very cold!
We have had a great few days! Thank you!
The hotel has a good location in the old part of town, within the city walls, and close to the beginning of the rampart walk around the old town. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We had a room facing the castle, but could still see the ocean.

New carpet needed. Breakfast good. Very convenient
Decent hotel but overpriced considering no aircon
This hotel is decent but at the price we paid you would have expected air conditioning
The staff spoke good English. It was very clean and tidy. Continental breakfast was very nice.
Great stop before the ferry
Just a one night stopover before catching the ferry home. Really nice, clean, modern hotel. Great secure parking underneath hotel. Good breakfast with plenty of choice
Hotel was close to ferry port [ 5 minutes], with a private underground garage on several levels.
Basic hotel, but good continental breakfast.
Short walk into town, with great restaurants and cafes on the seafront.
There is a beautiful walk on the headland a must sit and watch the magnifcent sunset across the harbour!
Perfectly located for the ferry port with its own underground car park (which is extra and needs to be pre-booked by phone on the day). Easy walk to the beaches, bars and restaurants in the Saint Servan area (we recommend Les Toqués). Very good breakfast buffet. Helpful staff.

Good location, nice staff, superb pool, room is large and confortable with modern bathroom
This is one of the most perfect little hotels we have stayed at in our European travels - every detail has been thought out by the owners and we found it to exactly meet our needs.
The staff were amazing, as was the breakfast and ideally located. A very memorable stay, we cannot wait to return and visit again.
The staff were very friendly and we loved the spa. Would recommend and definitely return
Very clean and neat. Easy location for parking which is outside the city walls.
We enjoyed this stay in every way. Completely and thoroughly newly renvated.
My only point would be that we could have received and used much more information at check in time.
There was a very ‘drainy’ smell when we first went into the room- no idea where it came from but it disappeared very quickly. Beautifully clean room which was tidied every day.
All the staff we were in contact with were very helpful and pleasant.

Public parking just outside the walls ( can be busy ) Excellent location for meeting with friends . Very helpful bar staff . Early breakfast available as needed to get ferry back to UK .
The hotel room was great for the price and the lady on reception was very friendly. The Chateau is amazing! The architecture is beautiful as are the guest rooms, drawing room and dining / breakfast room. The surrounding property and lake is beautiful. Our hosts Sebastien, Nicholas and chef Sokho were great. Highly Recommended!!
Old and quirky ! Very comfortable beds, rooms, very clean and excellent attentive staff. The restaurant and cuisine personally let the hotel down with Breton/asian fusion ! Also directions very difficult to find .
The staff and food were excellent but our superior room did not feel comfortable and well functioning.
This hotel is a lovely old world castle set on beautiful grounds. It's 5-10 min outside St. Malo so you need a car to get there. Uber would be difficult and you can't walk. But it was perfect for us! 2nd time staying in this hotel. An excellent hotel and the restaurant was wonderful with very good food. 10/10.

Stayed two nights on a trip to Normandy and Brittany. Lovely hotel overlooking an endless beach full of seagulls and surfers. Fresh air and surf. Private parking, great restaurant overlooking the sea, friendly staff, lift. Quiet, peaceful area but not too far from the ramparts.
Romantic, seaview is necessary!
The family room is so nice. Three girls, one bed each. I definitely recommend this hotel if you come to Saint-Malo, because it is right outside the sea. Perfectly adequate for an overnight stop and close to the port for ferry crossings.
Room clean and tidy but could do with a refurb.
Great place for stopover. Brit hotel let us change the date of our stay without charge even though it was non refundable booking through *******.
There was a problem with the drains in the bathroom, a smell and water drained very slowly from the shower and washbasin.
Instant hot water
Instant hot water in the shower and very comfortable bed.
Dated and tired.
Hotel was dated, room needed a refresh, bed and mattress were old worn and stained.
This property turned out to be a large hotel near a highway. It caters two buses of tourists, so the restaurant wasn’t available because it was full. The rooms were lovely, however. Disappointed that the reception was closed when we arrived at 1:30. Had to travel into St. Malo with all our gear until later. No dining room for evening meal - had to walk to nearby Buffalo Diner, which was OK.
