Camping Bella Vista in Calvi

Perfect naturist site. Sanitaires 👌. Clean and well serviced. Large pitches with smaller ones on beach. Ambience of restaurant not great compared to seafood restaurant a few km away which grows mussels and oysters👌. Lovely sandy beach with easy access to shallow sea. Llamas wandering about. We are advised that the cats are fed by campsite.

Lovely, helpful reception team. We stayed in a ‘Cintu’ caravan which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The brand new pool with slides was a big hit, we thought our teenage children (15,17) might be too grown up for it but they enjoyed it. The site is well maintained and peaceful, with guests being mainly family groups. The beach is beautiful and Calvi old town with great shops & restaurants is about a 25 min walk away. We really enjoyed our stay. Ps. We travelled as two families and were slightly nervous about the strict rules & regulations as listed on the website, particularly regarding ‘absolute silence’ after 10pm. In reality, the site is relaxed and many family groups were sitting out chatting till late.

We stayed one night there before starting our journey on the GR20 trail in order a get a good night's sleep in a comfy bed before camping in tents for two weeks.

We booked a bungalow a week before and we arrived quite late around midnight. We called the staff member on the phone no. left on the guard's booth and he arrived immediately within two minutes. The gentleman was from Mali and he spoke excellent English thankfully, so communication was not an issue, since our French is a bit rusty. He was very professional and courteous the entire time.

The unit had two rooms, one with a twin size bed for two and another with a single and a bunk bed. It had a lot of amenities including air conditioning, shower (towels, soap included), toilet, fridge, coffee machine, stove, TV, internet and thankfully was very clean. The mattress was quite comfy, so even if we could only have a couple hours of rest before departing, it felt quite good.

In the early morning before leaving, the same staff member came back to verify the room and to check that everything was in order.

Overall it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this location if someone is planning to visit this city.
