Hotel Revellata & Spa in Calvi

Booked this hotel with booking.com for a stay in June 2020, without the option to cancel. Due to covid19, the hotel informed us when we rang them, that the hotel would closed until the end of June. On our request for a refund given that they are not open, they advised they will only offer us to change our booking dates and refused to issue a refund. We’ve had a similar situation with other hotels on the island, where our refund requests have been honoured without question, despite the booking terms being the same. For those who find themselves in a similar situation with this hotel, we recommend you go after them through your credit card provider first and if not successful, then you can go through your consumer affairs in your own country, who will then, free of charge, liaise on your behalf with the local consumer affairs body. Our consumer affairs body confirmed to us that hotels that are closed within this period must legally issue a refund. We will keep you posted on the outcome of our claim.
