Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa in Porto-Vecchio

We found the Grand Hotel by chance having been disappointed with a previous on line booking hotel. What a stroke of good fortune, the Grand Hotel is amongst the very best hotels we have ever stayed at. The location right on the delightful beach of Cala Rosa is idyllic, lovely soft sand, gentle warm water even in October, private pier with a boat service, the list goes on! The hotel facilities are equally superb, lovely gardens, beachside bar, elegant dining room with a good menu, professional friendly staff. Our room, one of their ‘basic rooms’ was more than comfortable & well appointed with direct access to the gardens & beach area. Of course all this comes at a price & it is a Relais et Chateau hotel, but go on treat yourself you are worth it!

a very nice hotel. we had a large suite with a terrasse which comes at a high price but all hotels are having crazy prices since Covid. the beach is too small and there is no external swimming pool nor tennis. Very difficult to book a massage . food is quite good except the Asian restaurant on the beach. service can be improved

This is a truly Fabulous hotel, we couldn’t fault a single thing. From start to finish the staff was amazing, the food was fantastic with an English menu that was so helpful for me 😊, the setting was also stunning. The beach bar had comfortable beach chairs and the staff there so attentive. Was so sad to leave. Definitely worth a visit, we will be going back.

Lovely hotel with the most beautiful breakfast area clean and well taken care, with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. All the staff where very helpful, especially the hotel manager who took very good care of all our needs and would really thank him for this. Lovely and quiet hotel nested in a very nice area, among trees and flowers. Coming from Greece with our unique islands with amazing new coastal hotels, I could say that this hotel can definitely compete!!!

We spent five nights at this Relais&Chateaux property in Corsica in May 2023 and it was amazing. The beautiful grounds, high quality room finishes/amenities, location right on the beach, overall food quality and staff service levels were excellent. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a nicer room by the front desk staff. A special thanks to the amazing front desk staff Nathy and Satrine for their assistance in making our stay the best it could be. Also thanks to the great staff at the restaurants, including Christophe the Maître d, Guillane and Smitty. I highly recommend this property for your stay in Corsica.

This was a last minute booking as our previous hotel had cancelled, that turned out beneficial as the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa is exceptional in every department. Check in was very quick, with our luggage whisked off to our room and car parked for us. The front desk staff were exceptionally smartly dressed and helpful, giving us a tour of the hotel and grounds before taking us to our room. Unknown to us the Commercial Director Nathalie had given us a huge suite as a complimentary upgrade. The room was exceptionally well furnished with a double balcony overlooking the manicured gardens leading to the hotel beach. The room lacked nothing and was equipped with everything from a Nespresso coffee machine to soft bathrobes and good quality toiletries. Both the lounge, bathroom and bedroom were superb. What became very apparent during our stay was that everything was kept in good condition, whether the room itself, furnishings or the super comfortable sun loungers on the beach decking, nothing was dirty, chipped or stained. The high service levels here are a credit to the whole team and as such it’s impossible to single out any particular individuals. Front of house, housekeeping, bar, kitchen and maintenance all worked as a team to give us an unforgettable stay. The gardens were beautiful, full of scented plants and impressive pine trees, all kept immaculate and enhanced with birdsong. The beach was well kept with a jetty where the hotel speedboat is moored. A pleasant bonus was being taken for a long ride around the coast, all at no cost to us. We spent a lot of our time on the beach decking, towels and spotless toilets being provided, where staff were very attentive but never intrusive. Breakfast here was very good with an ample selection of dishes laid out in a buffet. The freshly squeezed orange juice was especially welcome. Dinner was served in the spacious dining room with staff ready to attend to your every need. The staffing levels throughout the hotel are very good which went a long way to making our stay so enjoyable. We ate from both the menu and carte and enjoyed very good dinners complimented by pleasant Corsican wines from an extensive wine list. There is Corsican music once a week in the bar, the two guitarists were very good singing a variety of songs, not all Corsican. Our stay came to and end all too soon but the customer care continued after our official check out with access to rest of the hotel and a complimentary room to freshen up in prior to leaving. Many thanks to the whole team at this wonderful hotel.
