Great hotel, easy underground car park and a wonderful lunch.

Best way to see Angouleme, park in their carpark, book in, explore on foot, takes all the stresses away. Not sure about the magic wall in the room though, turns the bathroom into open plan at the flick of a switch. Excellent hotel. Almost changed my mind on Angouleme.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of town but the food in the restaurant was cold and tasteless. Staff were very unhelpful when we complained as only one person serving too many people

A nice 4 star hotel in the heart of Angouleme. It's big, modern with bar etc. My room was miles away from the front door and when you arrive there is no one at the reception. They're always out the back and only come when you set the alarm off coming threw the front door. I saw nobody else really: the hotel has no soul! Nice rooms great bathrooms but the atmosphere is morbid. I'd still go back though...

Fantastic location in the old town. So close to the shops bars and restaurants. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Good hotel. Beds are comfy, bathrooms seem cozy and clean. Showers are slightly open and there is not too much space to shower but the water is good. If you're a traveller hauling up baggage, it may be a challenge going up the stairs to your room, but it is worth it. Would come here again.

Beautiful hotel, hard to believe you are in the middle of Angouleme, calm relaxed surroundings with a superb restaurant and fantastic staff. A lovely way to celebrate an anniversary.

Beautiful, boutique hotel. Personal service and friendly receptionist. Very small, if you love the BIG hotel feel, this may not suit. Impeccably decorated, breakfast was beautiful and the view from the room fab. Really spacious room. We loved it.

I must say that the rooms could use a touch of freshening up and feel somewhat dated. Our room, in particular, lacked blinds due to a malfunction, and the curtains were not sufficient to block out the light. Also, a little air conditioning would be nice for the summer months. However, the reception staff were very pleasant.

Having decided to change the reservation at the last moment (I requested a room with 3 beds instead of 2) they responded immediately and favorably to my request with great kindness. Nice hotel, booked through booking, Reception was closed after 9pm but was given the door code and key was in an envelope with my name on it. now and then could hear the trains with the windows open but the room were nice and clean. parking was a bit of an issue but managed to find somewhere in the end.

Hotel chosen by my company, top-notch welcome, refurbished rooms, a terrace for the summer, a fireplace for the winter (too bad not yet lit), 10 minutes from the station (on foot), 30 min from the historic city center (always on foot) and along the Charente. We look forward to returning to these places.

Warm, family-friendly and welcoming. I appreciated the kindness of the reception staff who were very pleasant. The hotel is very flexible when it comes to changing rooms. Private parking and nice breakfast. I would definitely go back.

Everything was perfect from the welcome to the room including the breakfast which was complete, very good reception. The receptionist was very helpful thanks to her! The only microdefect was a door that closed poorly in the bathroom. I recommend this hotel.

very beautiful and pleasant stay in this establishment I highly recommend, very well located in the city center ideally for strolling through the old streets of Angoulême. The staff is there to take care of you.

Decent hotel, half way up the hill between the station and town centre. Helpful staff, good sized room with separate bathroom and WC. Excellent WiFi connection, good selection of channels on TV. Very original decor including industrial machines converted to tables and a vintage petrol pump!

We stayed in a room on the street side: incessant street noise and traffic despite the double glazing and the comfort of the room. No rest that night... On the other hand, everything else was great.

Little hotel opposite the towns train station. Arrived Sunday night for stopover, parking was in a public car park. Room was fine, fan was much appreciated.

We needed a hotel close to the station for an early morning TGV to Paris. Though basic this is a hotel that does the job. Clean, good reception and very close to the Champ de Mars parking which offer great value secure parking. Overall, does what it says on the tin but we'd stay elsewhere had it not for our specific needs of being close to the station.

Nothing special. Typical Ibis budget. On check-in receptionist helped to make sure we werent parked wrongly. Room small, as to be expected. Cheap. Ideal stopover. City itself steep ups and downs. Overall average.

No frigo is no good for 2 persons room This was my second time to stay Ibis budget hotel on business trip to Angoulem. Good overall this time again. I booked and paid for one room with two persons. Problem I had this time is NO Refrigrator in the room.

Hotel Ibis is economic hotel in angouleme. You need to book in advance if you want to book during holidays. It is comfortable for a short trip of 2-3 days. Centre of the city and train station is 5 minutes walk.

Old building, but good service. Acceptably clean. Good location. Parking is 200 m away and is really cheap.

The only good thing about this hotel is its close location to the train station. It is very old and rundown, no amenities. My biggest issue with this hotel is that luggage can not be dropped off prior to 17:00. I would not recommend.

WOW!! If you ever go to Angouleme, France (and you should)… This really is a great place to stay and a few minutes walk to the city center. Mike and family are such welcoming hosts, so incredibly kind and great to speak to as he speaks really good English if you’re like me and haven’t learned enough French to be proficient 😆. Amazing atmosphere, service and the room is extremely clean and well kept...

It’s 2 star so room was as expected but the air con worked really well, shower was good and bed comfortable. All you need. The duty manager was really great, very friendly, good English and obliging with information. Highly recommend if you need a night or two at a budget rate. To be aware - check in is 4pm so the place isn’t staffed until then, not sure from what time it is closed but take note if...

The hotel is located between the city center and the train station, maybe 10 minutes walk each way. I had dinner at the center where you can find several restaurants, as well as other shops and from where you can tour the city sights. You can also walk down to the river, a little bit more far. The room was bright and comfortable and quiet at night. Wifi was good. I was very well received when checking...

Nice hotel close to city center Angouleme

Great location. Well isolated from noise, well air-conditioned, large room, very decent breakfast and above all a very welcoming and helpful staff. No elevator so be aware of that for older people. My bike was secured inside. 👍
