Reallly convenient location in the old town centre, staff friendly and helpful, nearby parking. Loved the decor too!

Parking in the underground carpark was challenging to say the least. Like playing Tetras with cars! The colour scheme is garish throughout and the floorboards squeak incredibly loudly with every movement in the bedroom making sleep very difficult, with really loud noises coming from within your own room and from next door! Pity anyone sleeping underneath a room with such a racket coming from above with every step and movement! Having said that, the staff were very friendly and couldn't be faulted.

This hotel was just perfect for me and my friend.
It was in a fantastic location!
Our room had a wonderful view, the bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
The people working there were incredibly helpful, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Quirky, well positioned!
Hotel is quirky, with fun decor. It is in a good area with some grand buildings, and restaurants.
Rooms not big and furniture squeezed in. Fine for us as overnight stop on long trip

The room I rented was very basic but clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is great for sightseeing in the area and has a variety of restaurants close by. It is a quite a walk from the train station, all uphill. The buffet breakfast is over-priced for what is offered.

Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from reception which is a minor but unnecessary inconvenience. The rooms were spotless, as were the interestingly decorated communal areas. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very standard and not so well maintained if you don’t get there first thing. Oddly, they serve your coffee in a jug with no top which means it goes cold very quickly which is very frustrating.

Okay but better places
Good central location, and pleasant reception staff. A bit dated and disorganised with stuff lying around on the third floor. Rooms quite small. Noisy cleaners talking loudly (shouting) in the morning. I’m sure there are better places to stay in Angouleme.
