We liked this place and recommend it highly.
As other reviews have said, it doesn't look like much from the outside. The lobby, visible from the street, looks a bit drab. We have the impression that it's undergoing a slow renovation. And the street looks uninspiring.
But the room was large and spotless. Despite our initial impression of the location, the street is also safe and quiet. And only 100 meters from the edge of the restored center of town, next to many restaurants, cafes and shop. The staff was also very friendly.
One negative: poor wifi.

A true haven of peace.
The couple who run this place are incredibly kind.
I'm sure some very talented people have stayed here.
A perfect blend of old and new.
Rooms straight out of movies or comics.
It's fitting, since it's the city of comics, apparently.
Everything here reminds me of my grandparents' house from when I used to come to the festival as a child.
A major comics festival is happening right now! Only the most dedicated cartoonists are here, including me! 😋

The only good thing about this hotel is its close location to the train station. It is very old and rundown, no amenities. My biggest issue with this hotel is that luggage can not be dropped off prior to 17:00. I would not recommend.
