My husband and I loved the hotel Madeline. The location is great- walkable to everything. The breakfast is great, the bar is really nice to relax in. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. We recommend this hotel for your stay in Sarlat La Canada.

Well maintained hotel. Rooms were spacious and well laid out. Great location at edge of pedestrian zone of Sarlat. Buffet breakfast not as good as expected, Especially croissants and chocolatiers of inferior quality. Disappointing!

Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff

Delightful hotel above the historic center of Sarlat. Close enough to walk (a very short drive) but well-away from the crowds for a quiet, peaceful sleep. Rooms are impeccably clean and reception is pleasant, polite and professional. Would absolutely stay here again!

This is a motel style hotel on the outskirts of Sarlat. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a nice outside terrace. The pool area is very clean with sunbeds. Breakfast was excellent and the owners very helpful. Only downside is that the location is up a steep hill from the town so walking back at night is a trek ,especially as no taxi service. We found a lot to like about Le Mas del Pechs. They were very welcoming right from the check-in. The room was clean and modern. They went out of their way to accommodate us, to the point of setting up a candlelight dinner for us in the breakfast room so that we could finish our picnic leftovers! Free parking is a nice perk, and although the weather didn't cooperate, the outdoor pool looked lovely...

This is an excellent hotel. The bedrooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Anne-Marie is so hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend and will return the next time we are in the Dordogne.

linen bags I personally don't like having to carry 25 kg of linen on my back across 400 m, and then spend one hour putting the linen on the beds, coming back to the reception because they did not give us the right set, puzzling over which linen goes where, etc. Sure they provide caddies, but they seem to always be taken or in a state of disrepair. I have seen this type of campground-like hotel approach...

Great vacation center! Despite the fact that I inherited the only apartment where the sun is still hidden by a huge tree. A quarter of an hour between two branches around 6:00 p.m. Otherwise the site is perfect and the apartments are perfect. Very pleasant and sunny heated swimming pool. This hotel provided great service and the staff did everything they could. Price was great value. The location was not near anything useful. No grocery, pharmacy nor restaurants. Breakfast would compare with a USA continental breakfast, except the pastry was better. Not a large selection and you are better off getting breakfast here as there is nothing real vlose.

Staying in 4 star hotel in sarlat. Weather was cool.the location was excellent. But these hotels should not be 4 star it should be 2 and 1/5 The noise was 2 much. The bed was disaster. We arrived late and the concierge was a really kind and helpful despite her limited English. Although the hotel is about 10 min walk to the medieval downtown I felt was great away from the noise and easy access to main road to continue our journey.

Booked this hotel because it was a 10 minute walk from old town and had a swimming pool and airco. We had a 2 bedroom chalet in the garden next to the swimming pool. Only thing we didn't like was the double bed had a hard mattress.

We stayed two nights at the La Coulverine, paying E116 per night for a suite large enough for a family of four. We had a fair experience. The hotel is located right on the edge of the medieval town (the old ramparts) and our room was on the third floor, with two rooms. We enjoyed staying at the Maison des Peyrat for 3 nights. This was a nice place to stay and enjoy the countryside instead of the city vibe in Sarlat-la-Caneda. We have just finished 3 nights stay here on our road trip from St Marlo to Bilbao. A wonderful hotel, our room was lovely and had a bath, shower and outdoor space. It was very quiet and we slept really well. The food was fresh , local and delicious, compliments to the chef! This is the place to stay for short trips to dozens of nearby castles, picturesque villages and leisurely trips on the beautiful Dordogne river. A 10-minute walk from the medieval center, this hotel is perfect for visiting Sarlat. We were lucky enough to enjoy a large room (4) even though there were only 2 of us. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The pool area, the lobby and bar are nice places to relax after a day in town. The daily breakfast is substantial, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff (including the manager) were amazing! Cares very much about his partner (and future wife) and about himself! What a pity that sanitary measures deprived us of a resort! But the pool is amazing! Highly recommend in difficult times 👍🏼👌🏼
