Excellent location overlooking the river in Auxerres, short walk to the main parts of this town with its interesting history. Small car park off-road, so book in advance if you need it. (Plenty of street parking for a fee). Newly redecorated room was nice. Breakfast excellent, good choice.

We were disappointed. The hotel is fairly modern and right across the street from the river. The river view from our room was very nice. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The room on the other hand... The thermostat was broken, missing button to set the temperature, and "repaired" with tape. While the lighting was good at the head of the bed, there remaining half of the room...

Nice old hotel, right on the river Yonne. Room is tiny, but has updated bath. King bed seems fine. Very clean. Excellent sound blocking windows. Decent value.

Charming hotel in a very convenient location along the banks of the Yonne. Very comfortable beds and bedding; overall a cozy feel. The cheapest rooms are quite small and barely have the advertised river view - no problem for us but worth knowing before you reserve.

All good and extremely good value. Restaurant next door ,super evening meal,again great value. Well worth considering if you are in this area. Lots of other eateries within walking distance as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay here as part of a road trip. Conveniently located to access of the highway this hotel has everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Rooms were spacious and well kept, only little annoyance was accessing the 5th floor (by stairs only from the 4th) but I’m sure this is something that will be solved with the upcoming renovation. Lovely Hotel. The pictures are true to how the rooms look & we thought it was pretty spacious. There is free parking on the premises, on both sides of the hotel, so there should be ample space. The back one has a tight entrance & is sloped, beware if you have a big car. We were greeted very friendly & all the information was give to us. She spoke English very well. Lovely old Chateau of a hotel, steeped in history. The owners are an excellent couple, and tireless in making sure you're comfortable. Parking is very good and the location makes it a great position for the many good restaurants within walking distance of the centre of Auxerre. Shame there was no bar or restaurant, and also a shame that the rooms weren't made up under the auspices of Covid control

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the town centre and river. We were upgraded from a standard room to a junior suite on the first floor - very comfortable room with a large bathroom and the upgrade was much appreciated! Tip: the breakfast is great - lots of choice and a friendly manager! We would recommend this hotel and remember to book direct with the hotel for the best price! #bookdirect

We could not have been more impressed with the service at the hotel. The couple running the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from corona tests to wineries to restaurants nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is clean and comfortable, especially good quality mattresses. Thoroughly recommend.

Very please tell place to stay, good situation to walk into the historical centre of Auxerre, friendly helpful staff, clean and well maintained, still keeps its historical feel. Would suggest the grounds could be better maintained which would really set the hotel up asgood gardens in the summer would be please to to sit in, would recommend this hotel without hesitation

Great location but not to the same standard as other Ibis hotels I've stayed at. Room has no carpet, mine smelled foul and shower pressure was weak on the first floor. The room did have a balcony and the views were amazing. Staff are very helpful, breakfast is mediocre (no hot options) but good choice of bread.

The owner is friendly and always ready to discuss and advise on going to eat, for example, if you want to go out. Very pleasant staff at reception for departure. I slept very well, the bedding was great, which you don't necessarily find in hotels with more stars. You can feel the history of the place, it changes hotel chains;) I recommend without worries

Very nice hotel albeit a little basic. Clean and comfortable, staff friendly and obliging, excellent value. Access to the pretty and historic Auxerre a few paces down the street. We would stay here again.

The staff was super friendly. Be careful to checkin schedules, but they are very arranging. Rooms are a little dated, but location is amazing, and everything is clean and functional. For the price, it is great value!

Perfect. Clean, simple family room, with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Really friendly welcome and service. Right in the middle of old town Auxerre so lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars set amongst the historic architecture. Excellent stopover location and the city will tempt you to return for longer.

Excellent ambiance and menu. Great staff. We had a very good dinner outside, in this very cool patio, drinking good local wine and enjoying outstanding food. The food was very good with local specialities, particularly the charcuterie and the 'plat du jour'. Highly recommend making a stop in this logis when in Auxerre.

We (2 persons) stayed here twice in 3 weeks. We enjoyed the welcome, the efficient and friendly staff and the location of the hotel - walking distance to the town center - but also quiet and peaceful - especially the rooms to the inside.

A nice hotel, we took the large room which was great. Very clean. New shower. Located just at the border of the old city but walkable distance. A large public parking lot just across the hotel. Nice breakfast. Easy to arrive to town and leave no traffic

Exceptionally friendly staff who were very willing to help and to suggest places to visit. The room was quiet and spacious and the shower excellent. The breakfast options were ample and there were room service options too. Update: Changed review from 1 star to 3 because the hotel got a little better. If you want the air conditioning to "work" properly, you have to open the windows at night to let the cooler air in. Once the room is cooled down, the ac will do a decent job of keeping the room more pleasant. This also allows noise in so keep that in mind. Bed was very firm. If you have issues with joint and back pain...
