We enjoyed our second story balcony. Very relaxing although mosquitoes do come at dusk. Room is modern and spacious. No elevator. Dinner was a tedious affair. Pacing was poor and food uninspiring. Definitely not a gourmet experience. It would have been more enjoyable to choose from a menu rather than choose between two fixed options given there are no dining options nearby.

I am giving this 5 stars for the restaurant. Seriously one of the best meals of my life. 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing 88 euros. This is not a series of small bites but decent portions served with really excellent wine. Menu changes seasonally and much of it is foraged. Excellent service from knowledgeable staff.

Being rated four stars, I expected more than was available. Small towels for shower, only coffee machine with two capsules, no kettle, only one bottle of water per room. I thought the appearance was fine but let down by lack of ‘little extras’ that make a big difference. Would I stay again - No.

Fantastic hotel located in a very calm and relaxing setting. Facilities at the hotel are all very good. The restaurant has held multiple Michelin stars over the years and the food reflects that. Sunrise is not to be missed, beautiful morning views.

What we liked: We liked being in the countryside. It was quiet and we walked the roads around the property to see lovely views. We liked the food, quite excellent. What we didn't like: Taxi arrangement from the train station didn't work out, luckily an Uber was available. After that we walked to/from hotel and town -- property like this should have some kind of car shuttle. Also the food was extraordinary...

Stayed one night travelling to a wedding. Wish we had longer. Very relaxing. Very clean. Room usual size and clean. No tea and coffee making though. Restaurant on another planet. Sooo good. Everyone friendly. Lovely surroundings and quiet pool

Easy to access and everything was compliant

It's a budget hotel so I wasn't expecting much. I was there with my collegues and the hotel was booked by our company (business trip). I love the location because of the supermarket nearby but the hotel itself was just regular. Very poor breakfast (we didn't even get bread), I got a room with a bunk bed and on the top one there were dead spiders all over the sheets.

Very clean, staff friendly. Delicious coffee.

Nice clean hotel near main motor routes and shops also some good eateries nearby would recommend and stop again when passing

A good place to stop for the night, reasonably priced, pet friendly, clean with an on site restaurant. If you're on the move it's ideal.

on the edge of a Forrest so it was quiet /tranquil . rooms at front had balcony’s nice for refreshments

Those people know what service is. We travel with bicycles and they have a storage for them. They even helped us with cleaning our bikes after 2 days of rain and mud. Room with balcony is very nice. Would highly recommend this hotel, with its extreme good service.

Simply the best! Sunday lunch at the Hotel de France is a superb experience - the food is outstanding and the staff amazing.

I used to work in the kitchen in 1977. The rooms and food inspired me to open a French restaurant in Texas. This place changed my life. Well worth the trip.

Very convenient for the old town centre. Cathedral one minute away. Quiet comfortable rooms in a certain faded elegance. Buffet breakfast with decent ( machine ) coffee. Staff pleasant. Clean and good value ......78 Euros per night per room.

Friendly staff, great service, extremely comfortable bed, quiet room, great location, parking close, great wifi, only complaint no shower just a shower head in the bath!

Arrived mid July, pleasant stay. The owners are welcoming. Clean and quiet hotel. Very good bedding. Perfect climate. Too bad the pastries and bread are not fresh.

Room for 3 nickel bikers. They even lent us a place for our motorbikes. Perfect value for money! Thank you for your welcome. See you another time
