Bayeux, 71 Rue Saint-Jean, 14400 Baye, Frantsiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Nice hotel, right in the city center. Design is really nice, great atmosphere, breakfast also good.
Great hotel for the price off season. Clean and basic. Be mindful that their is no lift, and in my opinion, it is not polite to insist to an older woman to carry baggage. I would skip the breakfast as the eggs were cold and ran out in the first 20 minutes that breakfast was open. No one was around to help with breakfast service. There are better places to have breakfast if you can wait until 8 am...
Junior Suite was superb. Clara and Julienne at the reception desk were thoughtful and kind. The bar and fireplace with hot chocolate at the end of the day was special. Bayeux at Christmas time is adorable.
This hotel was much better than I expected. I was in town for a special event, the funeral of Charles Norman Shay, so I thought occupancy and rates would be very high. The price of the room was so low I thought the property would be kind of old and clapped out, but it’s actually very nice and recently renovated, and I stayed a second night.
I didn’t use the restaurant, but from the menu and the d...
The room was really nice, very clean. The location and setting of the hotel is perfect. The staff were top notch and as others have mentioned the breakfast was great. I’ve already been recommending this hotel to friends back home who might come here. A great stay.
The location of the hotel was very convenient, about 10 mins walk from the train station and walking distance to a lot of restaurants.
The staffs were all so friendly and helpful! There’s a day I was back to hotel from Mont Saint Michel and it was late and all the restaurants were closed. I was hungry and cold and ask for foods from hotel, though kitchen was closed they still managed to whip up with...

We appreciated coffee in our room. We didn’t do the breakfast because it was just going to be too much food for us. We did order some food in the bar and I would say that could be upgraded. Just bringing us an entrée that was in a jar and warmed up was not very good. Maybe add some soups to the menu.
The hotel was lovely, breakfast was good, but the staff are really what put it over the top. My Mom's luggage was not on the plane and they called Air France for her and worked to get it delivered to us. I could not recommend the property more highly.
EXCELKLENT SERVICE...FRONT DESK PERSONNEL VERY HELPFUL & PLEASEANT
wILL STAY IN bAYEUX INSTEAD OF pARIS OUR NEXT FRANCE tRIP
The staff were so friendly. We didn’t catch the name of the blonde woman on reception but she was so lovely and really helpful and also makes a great cocktail! We absolutely loved our stay, we had a jacuzzi in our room which was well worth the extra £12
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room was clean. We stayed in a comfort double that was small a little inconvenient. Side table too small to set a book or personal items and very little storage space. Staff did bring us a second suitcase stand when we requested it and it was very appreciated.
Dont like the coffee machine its not good coffee . Its best when coffee made properly

The chateau is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The lady that checked us in was superb! Sadly I can’t recall her name. The large bathtub was great and the spacious room was very comfortable. We weren’t there long enough to try the spa service. But I would love to go back here and stay a couple nights. The restaurant looked really nice as well. Would love to try it someday.
Nice place to stay. Clean & peaceful.
We were very well surprised wirh the quality and tasteful diner.
Breakfast wasn’t so fabulous. Eg, egg cooker and some material was stuck.
We were expecting more local specialities.
We've stayed twice at Chateau de Sully and loved every minute of it. The staff were fantastic and the Restaurant was incredible with the most delicious food. We will definitely be back.
This was the second time we stayed at Chateau de Sully and we will come back! This is not the Ritz-Carlton but it's a very nice hotel located in a great area near Bayeux and the beaches of Normandy. I mention the Ritz-Carlton only because one obnoxious guest (American - I am sorry to say) kept loudly complaining about everything during our stay as if this was supposed to be the Ritz-Carlton...

My favorite hotel in the region and my favorite massage specialist in this hotel
We just stayed here for one night, and I wish we could have extended our stay. We are traveling with our six children, and the family suite was perfect for us. Spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. We had a drink last evening in the bar, and there is a nice separate game room where the children played chess and cards. Breakfast was generous and a lovely spread...

Carole was attentive, caring and welcoming! Renovations and additions are great! Lovely town!
Checking in the staff was so nice. The lady who checked us in even carrried my wife’s luggage up to our 2nd floor room. Everytime we would leave the hotel the front desk staff was so pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was very spacious and comfortable.
The shower was awesome.
The Hotel was a very good place for us to relax. Convenient to everything and with a helpful and welcoming staff.
Be aware this is a historic hotel. The rooms can be quite small depending upon your assigned room please alert the hotel when you book if you have disabilities or need a walk-in shower there are a few available.
A nonslip mat was not available for the shower tub combination. This is a soaker tub, very deep and required my presence in the shower for my husband to get in and out safely. The lighting...
Located at the center of the charming town Bayeux. Very lovely hotel and with very friendly staff speaks English well
Our stay at the family owned Churchill Hotel was awesome. Our room was very spacious with all the amenities that you would expect from a first class hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Staff assisted with great dinner reservations. If we return to Bayeux, we would stay again.

Wonderful hotel with great service and clean, comfortable room.
The hotel was perfectly situated for Bayeux. It was clean and in excellent condition. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.
The hotel was just on the edge of Bayeux old town, a short taxi ride from the center of town. The staff was very courteous and assisted with transportation needs. Highly recommended.
The hotel was amazing but the star of this stay was Lee. She is on staff and made our trip so enjoyable. She went above and beyond and to us that made our stay amazing. Thank you for hiring such a sweet girl!!
Conveniently located on Bayeux ring road for trips to the Normandy beaches, museums and memorials. Restaurant at hotel for evening meal and good breakfast selection.
Breakfast Items that should have been hot were luke warm or cold. There was a big selection. Water for tea was low and cold.

Not bad if you don't mind spending the night in a soulless pod. Staff's polite and friendly but they do make Days Inn US feel like Mayberry.
Perfectly placed if you wish to visit the WW2 Normandy sites. Clean rooms, helpful staff, very nice place to stay considering it was very well priced.
Small but adequate and quiet rooms, also kept quite clean. Nothing interesting in the immediate vacinity but priced quite reasonably. We did not pay for the breakfast though I did cashed a few coffees from their machine after being given permission to so so, which helped my impression immeasurably. I would stay here again, but might prefer to hunt for something closer to the center of town.
Area was safe and clean.Rooms clean and large.Hotel is new.Hotel easy to find.Rooms cleaned daily.
Very friendly service
Nice kids friendly room
Fast service
Breakfast rather limited, small and crowded breakfast room
We stayed here for one night on 27/9/2025
Ibis budgets can be a bit hit and miss, the basic formular is the same, small hotel room with a double and sometimes a bed over, small bathroom and a basic breakfast. Sometimes this works really well, other not so much so, but on this occasion it definitely did work very well.

The rooms are a nice size but kind of tired. The staff is excellent and so was the location. Getting breakfast was crazy busy in the hotel and too crowded. I suggest a breakfast elsewhere
Liked this hotel a lot for it's location and service. They lose 2 stars for some paint pealing in the bathroom but regain 1 BIG star for having an air conditioner in the room with full working controls which seems to be unusual in the area. Overall if you have a chance to go to Bayeux do it. It's awesome.
Great location, but very mediocre property. Hotel is located a short walk from town and from the train station, making it a great tourist location. Unfortunately, the hotel is dated, small and in moderate condition. We had a family room, which did have bunk beds for the kids (a nice feature). However, it was on the top floor of the hotel which featured a slanted ceiling, making an already small...
A great little hotel, convenient to the train station and the towns sites. Breakfast is very good with tons of pastry choices along with correctly done scrambled eggs. Hallways are a bit noisy, which is as much an issue with the visitors than anything. Staff is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. You feel the warm welcome
one mattress was great, very friendly staff, very diversified breakfast
The Hotel Le Bayeux was very charming and comfortable. The rooms (we had 2) were very clean and spacious. The staff was very attentive. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Bayeux. Would recommend this hotel in the highest regard!

Clean, welcoming, lovely place, good size room
Wonderful BNB
This is an extremely lovely bed and breakfast. We had the room with the courtyard view. It was a suite size! Unusual for Europe. The hostess is so friendly and helpful. She also make delicious chocolate cake. The location in the city is perfect! Walkable to everything including the train station.
Very friendly hostess. Great location.
This is an old school B and B; 4 guest rooms set in a 16th century building that had been a smithery. The hostess Valerie couldn't have been nicer, little customized breakfast when you want. Plus the location is amazing...almost all of the bars and restaurants in Bayeux are located along Rue St Jean, and this place is right at the east end of it. Also, if...
3 days in Bayeux!
Our hostess was very attentive. The rooms are at the rear of a private entrance so it's very quiet.
The location is at the heart of the restaurant district I counted 8 sidewalk cafes within a few blocks.
It is slso in the heart of the historic town. Within easy walking distance of Everything! Also within 3 blocks of the meeting point of Dozens of tours.
We really enjoyed this spot...
Great location near old Bayeux, with lots of restaurants and cafes and shops just outside. Rooms around a lovely courtyard. Breakfast was great! One morning crepes, one morning homemade cake. The homemade yogurt was wonderful. Great way to start your stay in Bayeux.
We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect—a great spot to see the D-Day beaches and take trips to Mount Saint Michel, Saint-Malo, and Falaise. Our room was lovely, breakfast was excellent, and we felt welcome and very comfortable. It was a very charming place, exactly what we needed. Wewould very much recommend it.

Good budget hotel with very helpful staff.
Basic hotel. The location is good, close to the center by walk or car. The room is small and the bathroom is like a camper. I don’t like that you have to pay for the amenities. The breakfast is ok, according to the price. You can bring you dog with you and enjoy the breakfast in the terrace. Also there is a check-in machine in the parking to do it if you come late.
Warm and professional welcome
Close to the city center
It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also walk to the center of Bayeux, so it's recommended for those who walk. Overall, it was very clean.
Very good, very close to the Normandy War Memorial, not far from the Tapestry Museum and Notre Dame de Bayeux, the room is spacious, two down and three beds, suitable for families.
Everything is okay for a budget hotel. I have tried this hotel chain before. However, this time it's different because there is a self check in for this branch. I also lost one one of my vanity items. Good thing my other items were not lost. The reception staff were friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, I was not able to raise this concern as I am in a rush for my train.

What to say about this beautiful mansion/castle… It is a gorgeous building, with a gorgeous park, and gorgeous potential. But unfortunately I believe it is also a very difficult and expensive business for the owners to keep up with not only the style/deco, cleanliness of the amenities and labour charges for the service. The staff we met was really sweet and helpful to us, but surely overworked and...
Food was not too good. We thought the food was packaged and the breakfast time we never get replaced food. And that was a little bit rude.
Fresh and tasty breakfast, including a helpful and friendly staff. Safe and easy parking, too.
The Garden Hotel was very welcoming, and the rooms were huge.
Very nice and clean hotel. French country chateau feel. Rooms good size and huge modern bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Only minutes from Omaha Beach and other WW2 memorials.
What an amazing hotel, the rooms were massive with mini fridge and coffee and tea facilities. The staff were amazing and the evening meal even though it was a set three course was priced incredibly reasonably and the food was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend it any more.

The rooms are quite small but not bad overall. The staff is friendly and the parking spaces just in front of the hotel are free. There are not many of those ones though. The staff was very friendly and the location is close to the city centre.
The hotel is cute, it’s in a great location, close to the cathedral. They have VERY limited check in hours so don’t make the mistake we made by showing up at 1pm and having to wait until exactly 4pm to check in. Thankfully after a couple phone calls we were able to leave our bags in a seating area. The room we had Room 12 was larger than I expected and had a cute view of the neighbouring homes. You...
Nice little hotel! Comfortable bed, warm showers and friendly staff! Situated about 13 minutes walk from the town Centre. $8 Euro taxi ride from the Train Station. Definitely worth considering when visiting Bayeux
A great place to stay. Well laid out studio, extremely clean, with little communal garden area. Very good quiet location close to the market square, short walk past the shops to the main attractions in Bayeux. The hosts were very welcoming and took the trouble to point out all the main attractions including market days.

Stayed here with tour group doing the WWII Normandy Tours. Very nice location in downtown Bayeux. Lisa at the front desk was outstanding! Room 7 was a nice superior double with a comfortable bed. Lovely place. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful.
This is a perfect place to stay in Bayeux! It’s a beautiful property, with very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The staff made us feel like family. My mom enjoyed a glass of champagne each evening in the sitting room- it was a wonderful way to end a busy day of sightseeing!! Most of the attractions are within walking distance of this hotel. We also really enjoyed Gloria- the resident pup!
This is the perfect hotel in Bayeux. It is a short 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and downtown area. It has old world elegance downstairs with tapestries on the wall and chandeliers. Great location, friendly staff, spacious family apartment. Our room was right by the front door so it was a little loud at nigh. But otherwise it was great! Highly recommend.
This hotel breaks every notion of a bad experience in France. They have worked around our schedule, let us relax in the lobby after our stay was over, made dinner and cab reservations, tried to get the car rental company to do their job. It was a tad confusing as it’s attached to hotel Luxembourg and they share a reception. But we were greeted warmly and our room was ready and the infant crib was already in there. Perfect after tired all night flight. Location is great! Near the center. Staff was kind. Would recommend!
Best front desk staff ever!
My tv had issues and the staff helped me figure out its quirks. They also stored refrigerated items for me and indulged me when I tried speaking French. They were so lovely I would go back to this hotel for the front desk staff alone!
Room was clean but very small . No free parking at the property. You could pay a daily fee to park. Free parking was a 5 minute walk. ******* listed that there was a safe in the room, that was important to us, but it was not there
You had to store valuables at the front desk
Staff at this hotel was hard workings and extremely friendly and accommodating.
Would stay here again but ....
Staff was great! Room was nice & clean. Hotel was close to what we wanted to see.
Downside .... our room was across a very busy street from the cinema. Lots of groups chatting & yelling & having fun. Good for them, but not for us as we were just trying f to sleep & that was tough. Motorcycle running up & down the street late didn't help.
I'd stay here again, just...
Very nice historic building in quieter area, close to main street with shopping and restaurants.

Very quaint and the Patron Michelle was great Very helpful. Room was up stairs (you'd call then interesting)overlooking the square but surprisingly quiet even with the Saturday market outside. Very handy for La Terrasse restaurant who recommend Le Declic.
Be able to climb stairs with your luggage. This was close in town so location was great. You can't check in until 5:00 p.m. so just be aware of that. It was a great place to stay.

This is a cute historic house that has been remodeled as a boutique hotel. Our room was small, but adequate. Everything was neat and clean. We stayed in the 3 bedroom unit. It was big which was good. The room was really warm though and I didn’t feel safe leaving the windows open on the first floor. It would have been better if there were some fans downstairs. Walking distance to everything though which was convenient.
Fantastic small hotel near the center of town and convenient for everything. The only thing I would mention is to be aware that checking in is only from 5pm until 8pm. No one on the premises at other times.
A lovely property! About a 10-minute walk to the train station in one direction and about 5 minutes to town in the other. Room was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to sit on the balcony in the evening.
