Very quaint and the Patron Michelle was great Very helpful. Room was up stairs (you'd call then interesting)overlooking the square but surprisingly quiet even with the Saturday market outside. Very handy for La Terrasse restaurant who recommend Le Declic.

Be able to climb stairs with your luggage. This was close in town so location was great. You can't check in until 5:00 p.m. so just be aware of that. It was a great place to stay.

WARNING: DON’T STAY HERE
This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. From the very beginning, the staff treated us with shocking arrogance and complete lack of respect. We had booked through Booking.com and informed them in advance that we might arrive just a few minutes after 10pm, asking politely if there was any possibility of a late check-in option, a code for the door, or even a key box. Instead of helping, they replied in a rude, dismissive, and condescending way, basically telling us essentially: “If you’re not here before 10, too bad—you’ll sleep in the street.”
We were forced to rush with the car, skipping dinner and driving under stress just to make it on time. When we arrived—five minutes before 10pm—the reception was completely abandoned. I rang the bell several times, worried because my wife was waiting in the car. Finally, two staff members came out, but instead of welcoming us, they immediately started yelling aggressively, insulting us, calling us rude, and even suggesting we should go sleep outside or in our car if we didn’t like their attitude. They shouted at us for several minutes like we were criminals, making us feel humiliated and shocked. I have never been treated so badly at any hotel.
On top of that, the rooms are terrible. The walls are paper-thin, and starting from 6am we could hear every shower, every door slam, every conversation from other guests. Sleeping was almost impossible with all the noise.
This was an absolutely horrible experience from start to finish: hostility, insults, threats, no professionalism whatsoever, and zero hospitality. We felt mistreated and deeply uncomfortable the whole time. Please, do yourself a favor—don’t stay at this hotel.

Before retirement, I traveled for a living and I've stayed in over 3000 hotel rooms. Without reservation this is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. The Wi-Fi did not work. The television did not work. The place was dingy and had an odor. Also, the manager/owner was very condescending. Not sure who is the positive reviews came from, but I would suggest that they came from the hotel themselves. My suggestion is to look for any other alternatives and that includes camping out in the park.

We spent two nights at this hotel, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The interior is decorated with a unique and artistic eye—you’ll keep discovering charming little design details everywhere you look. There’s also a small, lovely back terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast surrounded by flowers.
Our room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and everything worked perfectly. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is simply perfect.
But what truly sets this place apart isn’t just the beautiful space or the practical amenities—it’s the warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality of the owners. It’s clear that they run their boutique hotel with love and care, doing everything they can to make guests feel welcome and at home. Their passion is evident in every little detail.
I will definitely be coming back. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great night's sleep in a clean and charming room. The host spoke English well and was relaxed and friendly. Also a wealth of local and historical information. Breakfast with lots of coffee was wonderful. Bayeux is a nice town.

The hotel was close to food and bakery. We had the top room which was recently refurbished and it held 4 guests. The gentlemen was very friendly and helped us book restaurants (la pompier or something) we used bayeux as a base to see normandy. Very good value and 2 stars. The surrounding neighbourhood was quiet.

Clean and tidy. Very helpful owner. Situated very close to town, the Cathedral, Bayeux Tapestry, D Day museum and CW Graves all within easy walking distance.

My wife and I visited this restaurant last week, the finest steak I have ever had! Perfect, trimings and all.
My wifes Tuna steak was a generous helping and perfectly presented
Drinks were very expensive, but were of quality labels. Meal prices reasonable
Staff were well presented and attentive. My choice of restaurant in Bayeux
