Stayed for 1 night. Excellent check in staff, very comfortable bed and the rooms are spotless. Breakfast was simple but very good. The staff asked if they could help us many times which was very much appreciated. We don’t speak French unfortunately, but they spoke very good English. Highly recommended for a clean comfortable short stay.

This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Idealy suited for our needs Room could benefit from having coat hooks for outside coats on entering the room. Room 101 showerhead needs to be replaced and is too close to the laundry first thing in the mornig.

My recent experience at the IHG Calais hotel confirmed its good location for visitors planning a one or two-day trip to Calais and surrounding area. The hotel is quite close to the pier, it offers immediate access to the port area, especially when it takes 30 minutes to pass the custom before you can get on the vessel. The hotel is well situated, close to various bars and restaurants. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfy.

Good location with restaurants around. Basic facilities inside the room and it's fine for a short-stay. The hotel car-park is small and only a few parking lots available. Luckily can park on-street nearby.

Room nice and clean as seen in the picture, bathroom nice and clean with retro style.

It was a bit expensive for what it was. Fairly basic but clean and ok. Staff were welcoming and friendly though. So that made up for it a bit. Good town centre location. Although no offense street parking. So leave before 9am or you will get a ticket or towed there.

Breakfast not a great deal on serial and toast and bald eggs could do with a full English breakfast room was super good and staff was polite

This hotel is an amazing little Low Cost Gem, located really close to the town center and attractions of Calais which is a great place to visit and spend some time in. Have stayed here previously and enjoyed this place both times.

It's about a 10-minute walk from the city center, past the city hall. Parking is available at the shopping center across the street, which is convenient and inexpensive (we parked on Sunday evening and it cost about 8 euros by Monday noon).

Room spotless , great location and great value for money. Room is adequate and bed comfortable will definitely stay again before driving down. Friendly staff and bar open until midnight should you wish.

The not so good was that the room is tiny and poorly laid out, the room needed a freshen up and the floor gave me dirty feet. Also, there was a smell of possibly drains in the corridor outside. The excellent was that the room was quiet, there was a kettle and the bed was so comfortable that I looked up the supplier to see if it was available in the UK. Plus there were extra soft pillows. Great location near to the port of calais. The hotel looks a bit dilapidated on the outside, in fact there was a derelict Hotel next door which looked nicer!. The car park left you wondering if your car would be safe there overnight. The reception was bright and lively the staff were friendly and welcoming. Very pleased with the room and service!

Hotel is very close to train station which facilitate the travel by train but takes at least 10 to 15 minutes walk to nearby restaurants. Hotel room arranged for us is spacious. Simple breakfast with not many choice, but it is delicious.

Have just returned home. Stayed three nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom lovely and clean with super hot water for the shower. Breakfast was .very good, an excellent amount of choice. The staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay. Also price really good for what you get.

A very good overnight stay at the Metropol We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Metropol. The room was clean, fresh and comfy. We had a good nights sleep. The staff were great and the breakfast was very good, thank you.

Enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, excellent breakfast including a cooked breakfast. The staff are very helpful. It's a ten minute walk from the town centre and all the bars and restaurants. Plus it's free parking outside. Used calais as a base to visit places of interest in the area.

Ok for one night. It was cheap and basic. Didn’t feel clean but it was fine for one night. It had a kettle which was lovely and reception was almost friendly.

We have used The hotel H eco several times before. The rooms are usually quite nice for a 1 night stopover. They are clean but basic which is just enough. This time however, we arrived at midnight, used the codes to get in and found the room. There seemed to be quite a few men just hanging around, windows open, loud conversation and music going on. Great price hotel has a great bus route close by (The number 8 bus). Takes you straight into Amiens Town Centre.

Location is perfect but soundproofing is awful.

Very handy after getting off the ferry from Dover. Easy check in, breakfast was 5 euros. Probably best to find a supermarket. Clean room, plenty of space for me and a bike.

if you are travelling on a budget then nice value. however our room smells of smoke even when we request for smoke-free room and treatment.

We have stayed at the Hotel Meurice 4 times now before crossing back to the UK on the ferry or train. I can not rate this Hotel high enough. 1. Great location, very close to the centre of Calais and within minutes walking of the restaurants. About a 20 minute walk to the beach, and again loads of bars and eateries along the way. A great hotel in a great location, right in the centre of the town and walking distance to all the main sites. The hotel and our room was clean and well decorated. Benoit was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay here again as it was close to Le Shuttle, had free parking on the road outside and was very reasonably priced.

Very clean, no frills room. Absolutely perfect for a stop over. Very kindly accommodated us at very short notice with late arrival!

I needed a hotel just for sleeping and this was one of the cheapest ones without having to share a room with strangers. Clean room and comfy bed. Bring your earplugs if you wake up to noices, the floor is a bit squeaky so you hear when others are walking in their rooms.

The hotel is in a great location next to a park in a nice area of the town with free on road parking just outside.. The ferry terminal is about 5 minutes drive. All communications, entry codes etc were done via Whataspp and worked faultlessly. The room was a good size and nicely laid out, everything worked, the wifi was excellent and the shower decent. There was a lounge with coffee machine etc...

Rooms are clean and functional. Basic but good bed. You need a physical debit card for night checking in.

The hotel was in a very good location. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff was very nice. Only the online check in did not work. We had to be helped by someone from the staff over the phone. (It was cold and raining a lot). Everything was resolved quickly. We will definitely return to the hotel.

Best place to stay if you are arriving late after a long drive before or after the shuttle and just need a place to crash. Suoer easy to checking and very affordable. Great water pressure in the shower. Have not had time to enjoy the breakfast yet even though I was here twice in 2-3 weeks. But I will come back if I take the shuttle again. And try to make the time for sure. Thank you

The hotel was easy to find and clean but we arrived in the middle of the night after a long trip and I had to wait at the door good minutes with 2 children to get the reservation number as they didn’t email me and the customer service guy wasn’t to helpful.  The lady who is running the reception was very kind and made a great breakfast.

Clean, comfortable, decent breakfast. Overall very good value. Little bit of faff with automatic check-in as reservation was held under my first name, not surname. But resolved quickly through the helpline service. Overall would recommend for a Calais transit.

In a pretty house, a carefully decorated bedroom, with a mention for the bathroom. Good welcome, the owner provides lots of information about the city and the surrounding area. Very good breakfast served around a large table. Easy to find a parking space in the surrounding streets, at least on weekends.

Great place to stay! Stephanie was wonderful, so kind and helpful to us. She gave us great restaurant recommendations, called cabs for us because we don't speak French and provided a delicious breakfast every morning! Cute little bathroom & view from our room (pictures)

What a wonderful place! Hidden down a little side street, the doors open up into a wonderfully quirky space. High ceilings, large, airy rooms and effortless style made this a very memorable little stay and we'll certainly be visiting again.

Interesting rooms and house with unusual artwork and unique bathrooms. Lovely continental breakfast. Friendly owner. Car parking 1 minute walk from house.

Ideal hotel for overnight stay

Staff made the stay. Room was falling apart and not clean. The restaurant only provide microwave meals now as no chef but staff there made us feel welcome and were so kind it made up for it.

The room was basic but the beds were comfortable, there was onsite parking and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff member on duty was very helpful. The hotel is only a few minutes from the ferry terminal so it was ideal for an early morning start
