ibis Calais Car Ferry in Calais

Great location near to the port of calais. The hotel looks a bit dilapidated on the outside, in fact there was a derelict Hotel next door which looked nicer!. The car park left you wondering if your car would be safe there overnight. The reception was bright and lively the staff were friendly and welcoming. Fortunately our room was on the ground floor as there was no lift. Our room was quite small and very dated I think this hotel is due an upgrade. It was clean however and the bed was comfy if not a bit hard. The bathroom was small a bit scruffy an had a bit of a pong? The tiles in the shower were mouldy. My wife refused to use the shower. There was a restaurant at the hotel but as it was a Sunday night it wasn't open. Breakfast was a pleasant experience nice clean restaurant and plenty of options and eat as much as you want.the staff were very attentative. Overall this Hotel was OK for a 2 star hotel but it was supposed to be a 3 star establishment so was very lacking in that respect. I think you need to up your game a bit here or rebrand as an ibis budget.

The not so good was that the room is tiny and poorly laid out, the room needed a freshen up and the floor gave me dirty feet. Also, there was a smell of possibly drains in the corridor outside. The excellent was that the room was quiet, there was a kettle and the bed was so comfortable that I looked up the supplier to see if it was available in the UK. Plus there were extra soft pillows. So all in all the bad and the good averaged out.

Boots pharmacy Diss is just one example of the huge difference between UK and European pharmacies.
It's difficult for anyone who has lived in Europe to understand why UK pharmacies are so desperately mismanaged.
In the majority of Europe, people working in pharmacies are qualified pharmacists, hence much quicker service without the pill pickers and till workers in between.
