OKKO Hotels Nantes Centre Ville in Nantes

We stayed three nights stay at OKKO in Nantes in early January. Reception staff were efficient and helpful. We particularly enjoyed yummy healthy breakfasts in Le Club. Only thing we found somewhat odd was the set up of the bathroom where one had to actually walk through the shower stall to access the toilet and sink. Beds were comfy and room was kept very clean. Definitely would stay at OKKO again.

Very good location. Parking for car 20 per day. After sombody get a shower will be slippery to get to toilet:) and if shower door left open outside entry door can brake it...it's a glass.

Nice hotel in a good location.
You get access to a nice seated area where there are complimentary drinks and snacks with a few gluten free options. The breakfast was extra but decent. Rooms are air-conditioned with comfortable beds, but a strange setup with the bathroom. The toilet cannot be accessed without having to walk through the shower? What genius designed that?!?

Convenient location in the center, clean and cozy. 24/7 coffee and juices with cookies and light snacks. Nice bonus. View from the window to the courtyard, see photo. Quiet.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is excellent, the room is very nice, the 24-hour club is a success, with snacks from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with drinks included. Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks are paid separately; before and after the snacks, you can enjoy free cookies, juices, and homemade cakes—quite a luxury. It's in a very pleasant location, with a desktop computer at your disposal, tables, and sofas.
BUT: the light switches are a mess. You have to have a map of which switch turns off which light. The worst thing is that in the shower, you have to step over the shower tray every time you have to go to the toilet or sink. If you've showered, to get to the sink or toilet, you have to step in the water left in the shower. It's very dangerous, as you can slip, and you're surrounded by glass doors. This layout is incomprehensible.

The room was large and clean. It was about a quarter of an hour's walk from Nantes train station. It was very convenient to walk around with not much luggage. The location should be in the city center. There are several designer brand jewelry stores in the nearby shopping mall. PRIEUR's jewelry is expensive and beautiful, so cool.
I have to recommend the breakfast. I originally thought the breakfast was just average and wanted to eat out; but it was too early in the morning and the restaurants outside were closed, so I had breakfast at the hotel. It’s really great!

The location was great , you could not ask for more, just steps from the lovely streets of the old town, the castle, endless eating options, amazing pubs and shops. I agree about the room related reviews- the room is very clean, but the choice of an ultra-modern design for the bathroom was a mistake, in my opinion, and the hotel would probably get much higher reviews if the interior design would stick to a more formal standard. I was on a business trip just by myself , so the see-through bathroom walls were not an issue. I assume that some couples might find this uncomfortable. Having more light at the bathroom would help as well. The room was very clean and had all the amenities I was looking for, all furniture was in a great condition with a modern touch to it. Room size is more than ok for a single traveler. The breakfast was great with nice meat, cheese, eggs, cereal and fish options. The guests lounge is cozy , warm and welcoming. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. And again- you can’t beat the location, less than one minute walk and you are right in the magical streets of the old town.

I would have loved to give this a 5/5 but although the rooms were perfectly clean, well supplied and of a good size the strong smell of tobacco in the hallway of the 5th floor was off putting. I myself vape but I always book non smoking hotels as I don’t wish to have the scent in the room where I sleep.

Other downside was no mini fridge in the room, important to note for those carrying meds that need to be refrigerated.

Service wise it was a swift check in with plenty of amenities including a gym and an aperitif hour. There is the possibility for a late checkout for 30 euros extra per hours (slightly steep).

I would recommend it for anyone wanting a well located hotel close to the Nantes city center. Hopefully the smell was just a one off and due to other clients!
