This is one of the most friendly and lovely hotels in the world. The hotel has a long history of the family and the new family member of the owner still keeps the tradition. It is very unique and original, which you can not find any other hotel.
The food is very good and the dinning room has a nice atmosphere.
It is very pleasant to have a breakfast in this room.

If you are looking for a new modern room, you had better check in the other big hotels or just stay at your nice remodeled house.

When I stayed at this hotel first time, it was 1982.
Yes, it is 36 years ago.

At that time, Mr. Jean-Jacques Ricaud was the owner of the hotel.
He was the second generation, and he was the most generous, warm-hearted person.

Of course, he was one of the best French cuisine chefs in the world.
His father was the founder of this hotel and he remodeled the old historical building of Monastery in Digne, and changed into the hotel.

That’s why the building of the hotel is very unique and original, which you cannot find anywhere in the world.

There is no elevator or escalator.
It is the old building, so please don’t expect to stay at the modern hotel.

But there are special character and atmosphere in this hotel.
I strongly recommend staying at this hotel, if you are looking for a special artistic flavor.

Now, Naomi is the new owner of this hotel. She is the third generation.
She has been interested in the hotel business since her childhood, and after Mr. Ricaud passed away, she has been taking care of the hotel.
