We stayed in Stralsund during the pre-Christmas period and it was truly lovely. The hotel is in a fantastic central location and has been nicely modernized. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious. Our room was spacious. Unfortunately, the floorboards are very noisy, even audible from the room above. The view of the courtyard/roof wasn't very appealing. The room had a few cosmetic flaws: the windows didn't close properly, the corners were dirty, and some of the walls were damaged and dirty. The staff seemed a bit unenthusiastic.

A beautiful historic building that has been renovated to give it a modern look, but the renovations haven't been convincing and are starting to show their age. The staff is friendly, but everything seems a bit clunky. The standard room was very small, while the slightly higher category offered plenty of space. The rooms were clean, and the mattresses were really comfortable.
The breakfast was very plentiful, with all the ingredients fresh.
