Hotel Stralsund is housed in a beautifully restored Art Nouveau building. Its prime location directly across from the railway station made it incredibly convenient for travelers, yet the area remained peaceful, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Our spacious room was tastefully updated, featuring a comfortable bed, pristine cleanliness, and a delightful bow window balcony. The staff were friendly and attentive. Additionally, the hotel's location allowed for a pleasant stroll to Stralsund's historic city center, where the magnificent Town Hall (Rathaus) graces the Market Square (Marktplatz). Value for price

My room did suffer from a bit of early morning noise from the side street, but it was a comfortable room of a good size. Meals were available, but I chose to dine out. The bed and bathroom were good. The lift was very handy, too. The desk staff spoke English and gave good local advice.

Across the street from the train station, this hotel was very convenient for us and offered good value for money! Comfortable beds in a big, high ceiled, pleasant and clean room. Breakfast was basic but good. Be aware that the downtown area is some distance away. We had bikes but otherwise you're in for a longer walk or a bus ride.

Big advantage to have the hotel so close to the train station.

In the room there's no mini bar/safe/refrigerator.. Not even the usual complimentary coffee-tea cattle which I find weird.
We arrived about an 1-2 hours early on a Sunday and an elderly woman in the reception probably didn't like it, we didn't get a smile or any greet except a cranky "Ja.. You came too early", felt not very welcoming.
Room was reasonably clean and the neighbors have a cat sitting in the window :)

Fans of public transport and faded grandeur will love this place. We had a huge room with a bay window right opposite the train station. Plenty of space (and a huge tub) in the bathroom too. Furniture and decor are rather dated, but everything is clean and quite well maintained. Breakfast is well worth its money. On the downside, reception hours are quite restrictive (closed for lunch and at night) and there are definitely not enough power points in the room - having both light at night and a charged phone in the morning is quite a challenge. ;)

The Hotel cancelled our reservation one our after the planned checking, saying they are overbooked and cannot help us.
The woman on the phone was absolutely not helpful and very rude.
I do not recommend this place at all - please avoid it, otherwise you will stay on the beach without hosting for the upcoming night.
They are nightmare.
