It is a great place for families. Lovely staff, decent food for families, wonderful pool & spa. The location and the view from the spa are fantastic. Rooms are a small and have been pretty cold. I liked very much the apartment attached to the hotel very much. I am just sorry that personal get so stressed to see a kid at the checkin in an Adult only hotel (or maybe a retirement house?). In short, in terms of friendliness, guidance, and tolerance, there is still room for improvement.

This is a fantastic hotel. The facilities are excellent. The sauna with multiple rooms as well as an outdoor one are very good. Its right on the beach which is perfect for walks during the day. There isn't much nearby, which is fine if you are looking for that.

Modern Spa & Wellness hotel just behind the dunes of the Baltic Sea beach of Dierhagen. Nice and spacious spa facilities with two saunas and a steam room. You may take a bath in the Baltic sea just after your sauna session as the beach is only 50m away. Rooms are tidy and in good condition. Staff is helpful at all times. Breakfast and restaurant also very good.

Had a really nice stay on this beachfront hotel during easter. Location is very good. We stayed in a family studio. It was spacoius and fresh. Breakfast was good. Spa area with a variety of saunas was clean and well maintained and so was the outside pool.

Very nice hotel from the grounds to the pool to the very good breakfast. Also the room is nice, although there was a damp smell in the bathroom all the time. The bummer - and not acceptable for a 5 star hotel - is the room cleaning: Randomly replaced towels but the worst: the bedsheets have NOT been replaced once during the 4 night stay! Something not acceptable at all let alone in a 5 star hotel!...

Had a very comfortable stay here at the grand. The buffet breakfast was up with the best we have had around the world. Omelettes made to order, multiple freshly made juices, heaps of hot and cold choices. Also had a great club sandwich at the bar the evening before. Excellent apartment for a family vacation that had everything. Garage under the house for both cars and bikes that was very convenient. With water on both sides of the house. The only drawback was that we hade an apartment towards the road so we heard the cars if we had open windows.

We had a short vacation and the rooms and pool were clean, the staff was polite. In terms of price, they charge 25 euros for a dog and 10 euros for parking. I have never found it ethical to charge these fees without informing them anywhere before. I find parking fees unnecessary in such a quality establishment. We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The customer service was really good, breakfast was superbly, pool and spa area bery clean and they even have a salt room in the spa. The hotel's charm has diminished. As a regular guest, we were given a room with a view of the spa roof; we had booked a room with a garden view. There was no regular discount, nor was there any explanation. The service in the rooms has declined. On two days, the beds weren't made, but there was a card on the bed. At least the towels were changed. That's not four-star! The price for these inferior services...

Very nice and quiet hotel in the middle of the town. We were there with our 2 kids and we were one of a few families. Mostly elderly people so we had most of the pool and spa for us self.

A very good hotel, but the point deduction is due to the inconsistent handling of smoking on the breakfast terrace and balconies. Smoking was permitted on the terrace during breakfast at certain times. As a result, smokers and non-smokers sat about 1 meter apart, despite the non-smoking table. We stayed in room 418 for 6 days. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in the room. There was on the balcony and in the hallway, but what was the use? We informed reception on the first day. Unfortunately, the problem had not been remedied by the time we left. The mattresses were extremely worn. You'd roll out of bed if you weren't careful. The food was excellent. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent...

We were here for a wedding. We didn't stay in the hotel but ate in both the bar and restaurant area. The staff were very friendly, the facilities excellent. The food is quite expensive, which is to be expected in such an establishment.

Despite facing the same staffing issues most establishments face, the service is still top par. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Denis each evening treated us like family. After a blustery September walk along the beach with our dog, we enjoyed a good cocktail on the terrace, served by a very nice and professional bartender. Bar looked very smart and cosy. The large patio must be a lovely place for a sundowner in summer.

It’s a nice hotel just at the main train station

The room is old and the bed is really narrow, but the location is very good. You can see it as soon as you exit the train station. It is only 100 meters away from the train station, and the surrounding scenery is very good.

Not a real 4,5* star hotel if you can get a room with connecting doors to adjacent room with a little baby crying through the night… In general you feel more like in a holiday resort which may be finw but keep it in mind. The hotel was good and comfortable, but the whole experience wasn’t great, check-in was late. The breakfast was nice, but very crowded and one time we could not find a place, given that we were with our baby. My wife and I recently stayed at Vju Hotel Rügen, and our experience had its positives and negatives. Receptionists should know about the best local hiking trail from Sassnitz to Königstuhl, but instead they said “You cannot hike there”. We did in fact hike 8km that day. Not very helpful staff in this regard.

The whole experience was great from the friendly receptionist, the cosy ambiance of the lobby with the candles all over. I travel a lot and spend around 150 days in hotels around the world. I expected more from a 5-star hotel. Positive: the location right on the beach, perfect breakfast, first-class staff. I didn't like the room facilities: the furnishings were OK, the electrical fittings were outdated (the same as they were 20 years ago), the bathroom was OK but nothing special for a 5-star hotel, the bed... well.....

A nice choice of place to stay in Rugen. The hotel is quite nicely done and the location is in a good location as well. The personnel are really polite and helpful, the food offered is high quality and diverse, and there are alot of amenities at your disposal in the hotel. All I can give is a positive feedback!

Everything, room's are very nice and comfortable

We came very late at night with a small baby The team was very helpful and arranged us everything very fast The restaurant waiter helped with sterilization of thr baby's bottles and the food at breakfast was very good. The bed is huge (200*200) so even though they gave us mattress for baby we let him sleep with us.

Great downtown location and very nice and dedicated staff, highly recommended.

We received a very warm welcome for our mother-daughter weekend. We were quickly able to check into our room, which was ready ahead of schedule. It was very spacious, modernly furnished, and clean. The hotel is located just 50 meters from the pedestrian zone. The breakfast was varied and delicious. All in all, highly recommended.

Bathrooms could use a little attention and the airco was on 22°C and it said you could adjust it with -3°C but it did not function. I had to open the window to cool the room. Parking is in the parking garage of the shopping mall underneath the hotel, but there is no space for a workvan higher than 1.95 so i had to park all the way on the other side of the city near the harbour according to the receptionist...

Beautiful hotel, our room was clean and simply decorated. The beds are very nice. Breakfast was good. They have a small bar, you can also play pool and some other games in the repetition/bar area. Good location in the city centre.
