Sombea Donaueschingen in Donaueschingen

My company held a Fly-In event at the Hotel Sombea at the end of June 2025 for 40 people. The organisation of the different elements of the event was extremely straight-forward with the support of the professional event team led by Karina Albrandt.
Anita on the reception desk was extremely helpful and proactive - I felt in great hands with her! Unfortunately, there was some confusion on room bookings both prior to the event and on the day, but Anita was not responsible. Once the issues were ironed out, the rest was plain-sailing.
The Berlin business suite for an afternoon of presentations was perfect, especially as there was direct access to the Terrace with a lovely view of the airfield during our coffee break. The aircon was very welcome on such a hot day and all the equipment and support from Pete of Facilities was superb.
The catering options for the evening buffet were excellent, the wines we drank were perfect for a warm summer's evening and the atmosphere on the covered terrace was truly delightful. The service team, especially Laura and Daniel, looked after us all exceptionally well; such professionals. Everyone enjoyed the event, felt that the hotel was a perfect destination for a flying community gathering, and many said they would visit the hotel again as the proximity to the airfield was wonderful.
Thanks to the entire team on behalf of Shark and Wingman Aviation. We'll definitely come back again!

On a business trip and my third stay here now due to close proximity to Donaueschingen. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Breakfast is a basic continental option but at dinner transforms into something much more luxurious. Delicious food. Throughout the week it was very popular so must be doing something right! Waiter service can be slow though as a result. There is frequently insufficient parking due to the evening influx of non-guests who are only there to eat.

Excellent hotel for business or if travelling through this area. Very friendly staff, relaxing on terrace whilst watching the small aircraft come and go was a treat. No noise from the aircrafts at night, very comfortable rooms, and great breakfast.

I LOVED my stay at Hotel Concorde. My room was accommodating and comfy! The employees excel at customer service; not to mention the delicious breakfast they serve fresh every morning. This hotel truly has created an atmosphere of comfort, cleanliness and tasteful hospitality. Im excited to come back.

super friendly staff!! the place was very nicely decorated with a modern style and the room was comfortable. I loved the amazing homemade breakfast!! the outdoor seating patio was also great for reading or just relaxing. thank you for a great stay!!

Nice Hotel directly at the airfield, the rooms clean, with Flat TV, bathroom clean, not to receive Wi-Fi free of charge, but unfortunately, in all of the rooms well. Breakfast good and varied. Car Parking is sufficiently available. For the price of the room is a good proper Hotel.
