Leonardo Hotel Esslingen in Esslingen

Nice modern hotel, stayed here once before to meet a friend who study’s in Esslingen. It’s approx 20 mins walk to the train station but close to bus stops.

Rooms are a good size and the bed is comfy.

It's very close to the city center, which is very convenient.

Best hotel in Esslingen for business and personal travel. Modern design and quality facilities with rich choices of breakfast.

Great hotel. Best of all where I ever stayed. Great location in the very heart of Historical downtown Esslingen. Offers perfect options for breakfast with lot of vegetarian stuff. Breakfast is included all you can eat. Rooms are clean. Bar is open late if not 24hrs.

If you stay there in summer you may request a portable air conditioner (no central air conditioning in the building). Iron is available on request.

The only con is that the beds are wide twins. No queen or king size bed possible which probably may slightly affect your honeymoon :)
In exchange the hotel has a stem room and sauna as well as jim. Lot of restaurants around and most of them accept credit cards if you ask before you order. Yes. If you attempt to pay by credit card without confirming such way of payment before you order, credit card may be not accepted :)

The hotel has underground parking for a fee (ask for a pass for your stay so you do not pay for each entry)

Great hotel, great location. Asked for tea bags and was told they have no tea bags minor issue). I told reception that we were checking out at midday. I got back to the room at 10.30 to find our bedroom door wide open with all our possessions inside, my wallet and passport sitting on the side and the cleaner in the bathroom. Not acceptable. Anyone could have taken my wallet and passport or our bags and other personal possession’s.

I thought it was strange that they have no “do not disturb” signs in the room. This really put a downer on what would otherwise of been a really nice overnight stay.

Also - the booking confirmation stated we had a twin room with 2 small double beds. When we got to the room they were singles touching each other. When I questioned this at reception they said they don’t have small doubles. So I asked why they advertised small doubles and they had no idea.

The location is good. Nearby to old town and good eatery. The breakfast is good with great selection.

It’s a pretty new hotel with large rooms and a good location. It’s about 15-20 minutes’ drive from the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The parking lot downstairs is public, but the hotel’s instructions are unclear. Although it’s marked with air conditioning, it’s not found in the room. As for the air outlet, I found a regulator in the toilet that seemed to be an air conditioner but it had almost no effect, so the room was a little stuffy and I had to open the window to solve the problem. You can walk to rewe and pharmacy nearby for 7 minutes' walk, which is convenient for shopping. The sauna and swimming pool facilities on the 5th floor are temporarily suspended, which is very regrettable.

Very good hotel, all was perfect, good services, beautiful decoration, the employees were very nice and professional. I recommend at 100%. Thank you !
