Hotel Sonne was fantastic. The hotel itself is in the typical area style, beautiful woodwork and furnishings. Extremely clean. The location is very good. Directly in the town center and local attractions ie hiking, etc. within a few minutes drive. The staff made us feel at home. The restaurant is a top rated restaurant in Germany.

The restaurant food was good, however the service was not enough to wait for the dishes -we have waited for about 1 hour to get our dishes. This isn't a reasonable time to wait .

I had dinner here with my husband. I had low temperature cooked beef and my husband had salmon. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.

A perfect stay. We had the room with a sauna, which we used every day. Breakfast was extensive. The location was excellent; in a quiet, picturesque village, yet you can easily reach Freiburg by train. Hiking trails can be started right from the hotel.

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly. Overall our stay was ok, the rooms at not at all sound proof and through no fault of the hotel a man was shouting in the middle of the night and kept me up, then there’s the 7am church bells. If you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid, if not give it a stay!

Lovely Boutique Hotel Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The service was excellent. Only concern is the room was warm and the giant window only opened a crack. The room did have three fans, which we used all night. Other than ventilation, it’s a great boutique hotel!

The hotel is located about 4.5 km from Freiburg, but is very easy to reach. There's a bus stop right outside. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful, but due to a lack of staff, it was quickly cleared out and only refilled later. This wasn't particularly pleasant, even though many tables were occupied. Stayed with a tent and our two bikes. Everything looks great and the toilet and shower facilities are modern and clean. Location close to the city and 5 min cycle to groceries. At 39 euros a night for two people, it is a little bit on the expensive side for a stay with a small tent.

Oldest hotel in Germany!! Almost 800 years old and still going! It has quirks, and is nothing like a Holiday Inn, but that's a GOOD thing. Very clean, very hospitable, very quaint, and exactly in the center of old-town, just footsteps from the ancient main city gate. I loved it, and hope to return someday. Be sure to visit the little ancient basement/cellar museum.

Good place for a stopover when traveling, nicely situated in the city center, so good for food and drinks. Rooms are clean and have all you need for 1 night . Staf is friendly and nice. Accommodation in Freiburg The hotel is close to the hill where we can reach easily for a pleasant walk. From the city centre is few blocks away and it is possible to go by walk. As it was extremely hot during my stay, a small fan (no air conditioning) did not help a lot!

This little gem of a hotel lies in the square surrounding the cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants and ice cream shops, it is convenient for a lovely day of strolling. My room was cozy and clean with an apple, a rose, and a comfortable bed. The proprietors were lovely and most helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

The property was on the edge of the old city which is nice. A bit awkward to get into the parking because there was no where to leave the car that didn’t block a road while you checked in. So to start we reserved a three night stay and exited to begin our 14 day Christmas Market adventure in Freiburg. Unfortunately this ended up a C Plus rating compared to many other hotels visited in a similar category. Staff were awkward around guests and not all that friendly…. with a few exceptions. In principle a nice hotel, not cheap, on an excellent location in the city of Freiburg. However, we requested upfront extra attention for the cleaning of the room, because my wife has a dust allergy. The room was really dirty... the management did not even apologize.

I visited the restaurant many times and was never disappointed. Excellent quality food and service. Attention to detail. I feel truly valued as a patron. Even going for tea or coffee and sweets is an experience to truly enjoy. A reservation is recommended during busy times.

It was conveniently located in the center of Freiburg, and the hotel was clean. However, they charge a city tax separately, and I don't think that's the hotel's problem.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Minerva. It’s a beautiful, small, and cozy hotel with a lot of charm. What I loved the most is that it’s not part of a chain, so it has its own unique personality. Amazingly friendly staff. They’ve done a great job at making you feel like you’re at home. Rooms are comfortable and the terrace is a great addition

We've had stayed in this nice family-run hotel for three nights and woke up every morning with a wonderful smell of fresh pastry from the window. Unlike every other hotel we've stayed, this had a good breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff. We've requested an extra blanket (yes, in august...) and got it immediately. VERY IMPORTANT: they give you a "Conus Card" wich allows to use public transport...

Clean, new and well maintained property. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel locates just right opposite of the train station and about 10 minutes to the town.

I paid 150Euro in July 20. But they dont refund it yet.

It was an incredible stay, staff was wonderful, so helpful and so pleasant. The thing I will remember the most about the hotel, was the smell, it smelled so good when you walk in, like a fresh spa, so relaxing and inviting

My favorite hotel in Germany, convenient parking, clean facilities and services, except that the parking fee is a bit expensive
