Nice and convenient place

I felt super good every time I stayed here. It’s stylish with a lot of attention to detail—the design, the atmosphere, even the way it smells. The staff are genuinely attentive. There is a vinyl room with a great selection to play through. Beds are really comfortable. I love the nostalgic touches, like being able to play Super Mario.
I’ve stayed in both 25hours HafenCity and 25hours Altes Hafenamt. Personally, I prefer HafenCity because the rooms feel a bit newer, but the breakfast at Altes Hafenamt was slightly better. Either way, both have great character.

I had a semi-pleasant stay at this hotel, it was very charming and quirky and the staff were absolutely exceptional! Extremely well located as well. I do unfortunately think there are things that need to be improved upon hence the 3 stars. For example, the bed situation was rather unfortunate.. probably some of the worst sleep I have ever gotten and ended up sleeping on the couch the last 3 days of my trip, just insanely firm mattress, but then again I’m not sure if that’s typical for European hotels. Additionally, the cleaning service wasn’t very thorough and for nearly $250 a night, that definitely bothered me. Finally, (and this is me just being a bit picky I will admit) the showers were very inconveniently designed and underwhelming. The shower head is directly above your head so when you shower you either soak your hair every single time or you’re forced to crane your neck upwards and at an angle to avoid getting your hair wet. The shampoo and body wash were rather strange and watery as well (also no conditioner is provided). All in all, I think for the price point you could most definitely find a hotel that doesn’t have these issues. I would say you’re paying for the aesthetic, charm and location more than the actual room itself.

Just brilliant on every level - the location and rooms were fab. The breakfast stunning but what really made my trip were the staff - they were amazing, really helpful and just nice. I wish every hotel has such nice staff - they could not do more for you - just made my trip really special and lots of lovely memories. I am already planning to come back. Thanks again to everyone

We enjoyed our stay here, we arrived Saturday afternoon and we are not used to stores being closed on Sundays. A quick mention from the staff at check in would be helpful as we would have gone straight to the grocery store across the street. It is safe and convenient location. Parking is expensive, but also convenient.

This was the second stay at this hotel, the first was May 2024 and we came back as we loved Hamburg and this hotel.
They were building the new Westfield next to the hotel last year so it was nice to be back and see it fully open. Good selection of the usual clothes shops and some restaurants.
This hotel is a few minutes walks from U4 Überseequartier station which makes travelling easy, although it is only a 15 minute walk to the City Centre. The hotel has a restaurant with breakfast and dinner as well as a gift shop selling a range of gifts.
The rooms are quite retro and funky. VHS tapes and player, and 12” record player. There is a library in the hotel where you can get others VHS tapes and 12” records. Mini bar with soft drinks and some snacks.
The place is spotless! So clean and the cleaners do a fabulous job here.
Would recommend!

Amazing hotel
The most amazing hotel. Second time I was there, last time with my partner, now with my daughter. We loved it then, now my daughter LOVED is as well. We found the ”gaming lounge” at the first floor, my daughter is 10 and she was so happy. The rooms are amazing, the lobby - the nicest lobby I’ve ever been to. And the sauna 😍 They also happen to have an amazing restaurant and a bar around the corner, where I discovered that Amaretto sour is my favourite drink. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know now. And will be booking a stay soon again 🙂↔️

Great location with much of historic central Hamburg in walking distance and the rest easily accessible from the nearby U-Bahn station, frequent buses, and harbour ferry services.
The room decor is very much on a port theme with lots of nice touches, but a few odd omissions - only one side of the bed has a reading lamp, there’s only space to hang one towel in the bathroom, and despite there being a fridge, there’s no tea/coffee making facilities. I appreciated the complimentary beers provided, but in the morning I’m looking for a cuppa not a beer!
