Where to stay in Hanau

Our room was very spacious very large bed and clean staff was very welcoming polite and very helpful

We arrived on Sat Night 1 Nov. Staff were not friendly and very unhelpful. There was one younger guy who had just started working there who was very friendly and helpful.

The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and we did not sleep well.

The room is medium-sized in Germany, and it is relatively close to the city of Frankfurt. It is a hotel I often choose. The breakfast is also good, and it is rare to have air conditioning!

Hotel is listed as 4* but I think this rating is very dated. The hotel feels quite dated, restaurant and seating is more like a canteen. Breakfast is adequate but not lavish. Rooms are basic but large and clean, beds are comfortable, but hard floors are quite noisy, you could hear people in rooms around you moving around. Aircon is extremely good. My family of four had a two day layover in Frankfurt due to Lufthansa. The rooms, service and hospitality at the Best Western PHVS made the extended stay possible and enjoyable. Thank you!

The hotel was clean and quiet. Exactly what you want while traveling. It was very conveniently located to a grocery store and pleny of walking, running ,or biking trails. It's a hotel in a rural village where the Brothers Grimm were born. It's a relatively modern place, but the hotel is nice. The breakfast is delicious, and I'm going to stay here for a long time~~

All good except the air conditioning as they had some issues with it

Walking distance to Heraeus office buildings. AC automatically shuts down when it reaches desired temperature. Once it shuts down, it can only be turned back on manually. The only way to keep it on is to set a very low temperature that’s not possible for AC to reach.

The hotel has started to show its age, it's nothing fancy, but it's functional. It is centrally located so it's nice to move around.

Fabulous breakfast! This charming, small, non-corporate hotel has kind staff. An easy train ride to the Frankfort airport, the location also allows for a nice walk down to the park and bike/walking path by the river. As an American arriving jet-lagged, this was a calming and delightful way to enter a new country.

Stayed here twice. Once on.the day of arrival to Frankfurt and once on day of departure - 25 minutes from airport. We are a Family of 5. Very cosy with a classic style. Super nice and attentive host and a heartful breakfast (including eggs made by order). It's clear that the Irmchen family have been doing this for quite a while and doing it very well!

Good hotel on the outskirts of Hanau. Good hotel, comfortable beds... as is typical in Germany, even if you have a double bed, they give you a single duvet and don't make the bed. The curtains aren't blackout, so it's very bright from 5 am onwards. Very good breakfast.

Unfortunately, the room (non-smoking room) smelled very strongly of stale cigarette smoke. However, the staff were friendly.

Hotel was perfect for a short stay for one in Hanau. Walkably close to the train station and city center. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room did not have A/C and the days were 90 degrees. I could have managed without A/C, as I am normally not an A/C person, but the windows did not have screens so I couldn’t leave them open overnight. IMHO if you dont have A/C, af least have screens.

We booked this hotel last minute for a business trip to Frankfurt. We slept in this Dependance of the "zum Riesen" Hotel which is around the corner. You have to check in in the main hotel, where you also have the breakfast. The staff is professional and helpful and this main hotel looks good. The Dependance is and old family hotel above the still existing restaurant. The rooms are small but clean....

Unique place to stay! Very close to walk to area with bars and restaurants in an old town feel. Very close to public transportation which we road and very easy to figure out where you are going. Very friendly staff and an older building with lots of charm!!

Perfect. After a long car journey it was a perfect place to stay. Very comfortable and a good night's sleep before the next stage of my journey.

Room was nice and clean. Breakfast bar awesome. Only complain about noise and smoke in the courtyard right below our window.

This is all about the hotel manager, Marcus, who makes you welcome in the most family-like way. Plus he makes a lovely buffet breakfast each morning, and genuinely cares that his ‘guests’ have a nice stay. The rooms are not exciting like in American hotels, but the warm experience of a friendly atmosphere makes it all worthwhile.

We stayed in the Main-Lust on our tour on the Main Cycle Path. Nice and quiet location. Clean rooms, modernized bathroom and a large shower is available 👍🏻 Nice, flexible staff and we were able to put the 🚲 in the garage. Breakfast very plentiful and prepared with a lot of love. First of all, the hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable. There was no inconvienience during the stay. Karina tried to reflect the needs of the guests as much as possible. Basic services are required for a fee, but other than that, it is a very good place to stay and recommended.

Extremely quiet rooms, but no frills: just wifi, tv and frigo bar. No air conditioning makes the stay very warm in summer time. Staff is kind and speak english. Brekfast is focused on german tastes, with some sweet food, but the quality is below average and the care for details is not at the top
