The place location is very good. Few walks away is the Hanau Forum
There is bus stop no.5 right in front of the door
However there is no lift. Need to use the spiral stairs going to our room. But that is okay. The room is very clean . The space is just enough for the 2 people . There is no hanging place inside the shower room but its manageable. We forgot to bring our adaptor, they dont have any adaptor for us to borrow but you can buy it in front of the hotel for 10 euro. So its a lesson to bring international adaptor everything we travel

The room wasn't ready when I arrived, and there were yellow finger-sized stains on the pillow from the previous guests. 🤮
The room is very dirty throughout (even after cleaning), with hair and dust everywhere. My newly made sheets are dirty.
Even the location should be good (city center), but it's just a very bad area...
If I have to say something positive, it's that the receptionist's manner and demeanor are very well suited to her job.

One star for the service (which was difficult) and one star for the price (€60 per night per double room) at 50%, so charging €30 for early check-in is way too much in my opinion. The first room was filled with cigarette smoke (a non-smoking room). After complaining, we were given another room that didn't smell as bad.
The bathrooms are small and really not nice. The rooms were clean. We were there from Saturday to Sunday, and there seemed to be a party going on in the restaurant below us, all night long. The music was far too loud.

Everything was great. The location is great, the room was clean, housekeeping perfect, frendly receptionists. Could not ask from more, family of 4. Greetings from Macedonia 🇲🇰

We booked this hotel last minute for a business trip to Frankfurt. We slept in this Dependance of the "zum Riesen" Hotel which is around the corner. You have to check in in the main hotel, where you also have the breakfast.
The staff is professional and helpful and this main hotel looks good.
The Dependance is and old family hotel above the still existing restaurant. The rooms are small but clean. The beds are separated and short. The bathrooms is divided in toilet/sink and shower. The latter is in a wall closet! BUT! There is a balcony, which makes up for this. For smoker,.... Yes you can on the balcony ☺️
This hotel is OK for a one night business trip.
The breakfast was very good and regularly filled up.
All in all, recommended when you need to be a night in Hanau.

Strange and musty smell in the room, a long black hair in the sink that definitely wasn't mine, a loud local radio station for breakfast, etc
But the worst part is the garage, steep downhill, 90 degree curve and then extremely narrow and no spaces. Therefore, be sure to choose a parking garage nearby. Oh yes, I paid €15 for the sauna session, so I left it and I'm glad to be out of there. My conclusion determines me again 😩😩😩

It's an absolute struggle to even get to his room. You have to go to another hotel on the side street and get the room card there. We only found out about this from a neighbor and were therefore late for our event. The beds were very dirty (someone walked around with shoes on my mattress). But if you urgently need a place to sleep, better than on the street.

One of the worst hotel rooms I've ever had. The room smelled like a sewage treatment plant. Tiles in the shower in the bathroom were broken. The shower door doesn't close. The shower doesn't come off at the height you need. TV in the room is hanging at an angle. The change of bed linen and towels are brought by taxi without being packed, where everyone has their dirty suitcases transported. And if the hotel says that's not true. We have documented it and are considering contacting the health department. I cannot recommend the Hotel Römerhof to anyone.

A standard double room was booked, we got a bad joke!
In the room there were 2 single beds on the right wall, separated by a wide wall projection.
There were 2 more doors in the room, behind one door was the shower, which you would have had to get into to open the door to the shower room, the room with the toilet and sink wasn't really any bigger.
Smoking was allowed on the balcony, easily recognizable by the butts still in the ashtray.
After a complaint at the reception in the Riesen, we were given a standard double room in the Riesen within less than 30 seconds.
The new room could really be called a double room with a really nice bathroom.
That saved our WE in Hanau!
