Hotel Grossfeld is conveniently located near Bad Bentheim castle and a 7 minutes walk from the railway station on a rather unattractive square. The room I had was fine, but slightly outdated, just what I expected from this smalltown hotel.

Great hotel in a great town. Excellent breakfast and staff. Staff spoke english. Parking is available off-site. Small elevator which is also a plus! Overall we were very pleased. The only negative was price. We just spent 2 weeks in Germany and this was our most-expensive hotel.

The staff were so lovely, and the room was absolutely gorgeous, with a lovely terrace. Breakfast was lovely, traditional German, with plenty of variety!

Clean and nice ... good price...

Excellent breakfast (although coffee could be improved). Nice buffet-style dinner. Spacious rooms. No air conditioning though.

The hotel is good, the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is several separate buildings between them, if it is raining will have to prevent this. Breakfast is in the main building where the reception is. The breakfast is good. The rooms are very very large and comfortable. An interesting thing is the fact that the toilet is separate from the shower. Liked it

Dinner and breakfasts are excellent: A good value for money. Helpfull and friendly staff and hotel owners. Hotelroom is clean and the bed was excellent. Located at walking distance from Bad Bentheim. Never mind the bad reviews you might read from a couple of years ago: the hotel has new owners since then and they did a really good job lifting up the quality of food and service to a better level...

We had a room at the ground floor. This room was very clean, but dark. The bed was okay and the tv was large with a lot of channels. The breakfast was goed and plenty, the staff was very friendly.

The train noise was terrible at the night

Breakfast is great! the bar is a nice place, and all staff is very welcoming and friendly. They arranged a special table for us in the restaurant, and they gave us rooms nearby so we could leave the baby in the room while having dinner

Food was very good. Service as well. They even had a minitiature train hanging from the ceiling. When asked they turn it on to ride in circles. My daugher loved it. Would definitely go again.

Very friendly people, the food is good! The hotel itself is more luxurious than one would expect. Breakfast is also good. Had a lovely weekend here. Tip: go see the castle if you're staying here, its amazing.

A nice place to be, quiet when we were there. Very friendly and helpful.

One-night stay in this traditional farmhouse hotel. We liked the quiet location and the good bed, also the cleanliness. We agreed with the other reviews about the unfriendly restaurant staff, none of them seem to want to be there, let alone let you feel welcome. On a positive side, beautiful garden and very good breakfast, too.

Very good food and a nice place. Worth visiting it.

A beautiful property with a very good restaurant. Everything was spotlessly clean, the tables were set with fabric and the food was excellent. The tagliatelle with shrimp was incredibly tasty. I have never enjoyed such good and juicy shrimp. The pork fillet with new asparagus was also very good. Gladly again soon.

Located in the middle of greenery with a golf course and sauna. Also an ideal starting point for cycling. The rooms are comfortable, but have little quirks here and there. Service and cleanliness is excellent. There is a minibar in this hotel, but with high prices. The surroundings are simply beautiful and invite you to take long walks or bike rides. I'm looking forward to next time!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent, and room was clean and comfortable. The gardens are lovely, and the area very peaceful.

4+ Nice, old hotel with very friendly people. Dinner was tasty, breakfast with nice choice. Looks like located in quiet area, but I was there only for one night, so I seen it only thru the window.

Beautiful nature, suitable for walking and cycling. The furniture is retro but on the verge of old :) The beds and mattresses could be of much better quality. The restaurant only works with reservations even for hotel guests, closes in the evening at 8.30 pm, the menu is quite simple, but expensive. There is a feeling of something from past centuries, but not in a good way. The mineral baths are about...

Just stopped for some refreshments so cannot judge the rooms. Great location as you are practically in a forest. Nearby shooting club could be noisy if they are using it (was told on Wednesday) otherwise wall in the forest get some drinks and continue walking

Went here for a meal, with my company to spend an evening with customers. The /Building Restaurant itself is excellent- an old Fachwerkhaus. Very well appointed and very classy. We were welcomed by really friendly, competent and attentive staff. This high level of discreet service was carried on throughout the evening. The food was also excellent. From the moment we arrived until we left, we had a wonderful time. We were welcomed lovingly by Hubertus, who made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious, ample, furnished in the style of the hotel itself. The cleanliness of all lavatories, rooms and the hotel itself leaves no doubt as to the quality of the service. Simply top! The food in the hotel was very delicious and presented...

The hotel is right next to the train station. We arrived already at 10:00 but had to check in straight away, which was really appreciated. Almost the entire room was newly renovated, except for the wardrobes. There was a double door out of the room so that you wouldn't be disturbed by noise. Very nice staff at the reception, our best accommodation during our 12-day holiday in Germany.

The hotel is great, well placed to go to the center of Bad Benteim. The breakfast is good too. I don't know why but the water was cold when I tried to wash myself at 5:30AM as I had to go to the airport after. Very bad surprise.

Location relative to the center is not optimal, otherwise no negative things.

Pleasant stay, very good breakfast with friendly staff, would gladly come again.

Comfortable Hotel Externally the hotel does not look interesting but it has been renovated and is lovely inside especially the breakfast room. The bedroom was contemporary and very clean. The only downside was the shower as it wasn’t very powerful. Parking in front of the hotel was very easy and free. The breakfast was extremely good. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed. Neat and clean hotel, nice rooms with all the amenities you need, very friendly staff who make you feel welcome, parking in front of the door in a lovely quiet area of BadBentheim. Would definitely stay here again

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant. Service and food was superb.

A welcome break in a long trip. This is our second visit to Tonino. Big room and big bed. Excellent shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was great. Dinner the night before was also delicious. Attentive team looks after you.

We are so lucky to have found this beautiful guesthouse. We arrived in town very late and Constantine was so kind to collect us from the train with a warm welcome. The room was beautiful, with very comfortable bed, quiet and we slept peacefully. In the morning, a wonderful Italian woman made us a delicious large breakfast and helped us order a taxi back to the train. Would highly recommend this hotel...

Very nice and proffesional service. Owner contact us in the night and let us in without problems, left welcome beer. Perfect restaurant with delicious Italian cusine. Briliant Italian caffee. Tasty breakfast.

Traveled for work and stayed for 2 weeks here. Great place, very kind and friendly staff, rooms cleaned almost daily, excelent food. Will return here if i will get to work again in the area.

A very nice experience, the restaurant owner came to say hello to everyone, the obers were real gentlemen, and I appreciated that. I am not crazy about Italian food and I have some allergies so my food was pretty plain, but my kid and husband were very satisfied. I highly recommend this place.
