Where to stay in Emden

Friendly staff nice restaurant great breakfast rooms were clean. Only complaint is not much parking off road had to park on street outside other than that great stay

Nice room and people It's a nice hotel with a good breakfast, some rooms are outside of the hotel and for the breakfast you have to go in the main structure. The good thing is that those rooms are bigger so you have more space and more privacy. The room was clean and with everything that is necessary. The staff is very nice and friendly

Excellent hotel with amazing friendly staff and great restaurant! We spent several days in this hotel with my colleagues and all were more than satisfied with the service and local cuisine! It's about 10 to 15 min walk to the city center. Definitely would return back!

Accommodation was clean and breakfast very good but walls were thin and could hear neighboring room snoring and leaving at 5am

Truly a great hotel, great service from the personnel. Good breakfast. They have even some complementary afternoon and evening snack. Minibar at room with water, soft drinks and beer is complementary. Location is really good. I can certainly recommend this hotel.

I stay at this hotel regularly and it never disappoints. Everything is always clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent, the view from the window is stunning, and guests can enjoy a large free parking area. Highly recommend!

Very good hotel in the heart of Emden. The room we had was very clean and well equipped even with a safe, however, not newly renovated. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast selection in the morning. The location itself was very close, about 10 minutes foot walk from the city centre and the famous "Ratsdelft". The car outside costs 4€ a day, however is very crowded. Another option is the garage...

Refrigerator was out of order. At my last stay in another room, it was also out of order.

The rooms are adequate but in need of updating, it seems like some things were replaced but the bathrooms are older. The bed was rather too firm to sleep on comfortably and the bedding was a bit austere. Added to this, there was noise at 4-5am, but not sure where it came from. The parking filled up very rapidly and we had to park under the hotel. Breakfast was included and had a good variety.

Fantastic if you want a museum room as accommodation with the worst workmanship to slap the en suite together. Shower rail was held up with fishing wire. Good parking.

Friendly service for checkout, and facilitated a very late check in, but hotel is very dated and tired throughout. Room was very cold on arrival (I don't normally get cold), and some plug outlets in the room weren't working so I had to remove lamp sockets to get a working plug by the bed. Breakfast was decent but so-so.

We celebrated my wife's 65th birthday in a separate room in the restaurant with family, friends and neighbors. The team had prepared everything very festively and served the 40 or so people wonderfully and professionally - simply excellent service! Fabulous restaurant, lovely staff, we had a balcony room and a beautiful day so could sit out overlooking the water. Fridge full of beer and drinks on the landing with an honesty box.

Had breakfast "Kaffee und Kuche" here whilst on a bus trip from the Dutch company "Paulusma Reizen". Was very satisfied with the food and drinks, service was great and restroom usage was free, very clean building and great staff.

Stayed here because it had the best reviews of all the dog friendly hotel options in Emden. Arrived at 6pm after a long drive and the hotel was closed, no multi language info on the door to tell us what to do. We had spoken to a member of the hotel staff earlier in the day and said we would arrive about 6pm so it was disappointing not to have been warned what to expect or told what we would need to...

As an emergency solution, I checked in spontaneously and treated me very courteously. I had a great room and a forgotten charger cable was sent home. Great house, great service. Whenever I'm in Emden again, I'll be back.

Age-related definitely blemishes, but clean and very friendly staff. The restaurant is very good. The fish plate was delicious and the price list is more than cheap for the quality. If there is no table available in the restaurant, other facilities are recommended, which can be seen leisurely. All in all, it was a weekend that was worth it. Thanks very much

A great hotel in old walls. Sure that not everything is as fine as in noble shops, but you should know that beforehand. If something is broken or not working in the room, we will take care of it directly. It's also very tasty and the portions are quite large. We'll definitely be back sometime

The hotel is perfectly fine, decent amenities and a very good breakfast. But the staff - especially at reception - were not very friendly and in the public areas they seemed more interested in cleaning than in the convenience of the guests.
