The hotel complex clearly shows its historical origins and numerous additions and renovations. However, this does not detract from the very positive overall assessment, but rather contributes to its distinctive charm! The entrance area and the central staircase are truly worth a second look. This exceptional charm applies to the rooms and furnishings, but especially to the staff. The central location in the heart of town with a view of the harbor makes shopping, walks, and access to both the western and eastern ends of the island easy.

The apartment was fully equipped to a high standard – including its own coffee machine and refrigerator. The view of the Wadden Sea and the harbor is very impressive. Guests can choose the frequency of room service and fresh towels; if they opt out, they receive complimentary coffee and cake once a day. In the basement, there is a sauna, a fitness area, and a 12-meter swimming pool where you can actually swim, not just splash around! The breakfast buffet is lavish, the selection of jams enormous. The four-course dinner, plus an amuse-bouche, is a particular highlight: to be honest, we would never have chosen the dishes described on the menu on our own – yet we were always pleasantly surprised by the creativity, the loving preparation, and the visual appeal of the dishes. A final word of praise goes to the staff, who were always very friendly and attentive, going out of their way to fulfill even the smallest requests. A unique touch: the housekeeping staff personally delivered the bedtime treat!

Spent a week in early January with my wife. The only thing I could complain about (and I am not, I knew what to expect) was the weather.
The hotel is a little older but very well maintained. Room was excellent. Sitting area and sleeping area. Bathroom (with shower) was clean all the time.
The staff was always helpful. They came from all over the world and we had no problem communicating with them.
The meals were amazing! I have some internal problems that don't allow me to eat large portions, this was the only complaint I have, I would have LOVED to eat more, and I am not a real "Foodie".
Pool and sauna areas were very clean, and everything worked as expected. Not sure what else to say here other than we used these every day and were never disappointed.
As this was our first visit to Juist, the hotel had a lot of information as to what was available to see and do outside, and we did walk a LOT, despite the weather.
I can only say that we will be returning again!

We have been to the island many times, but for the first time at the Nordseehotel Freese.
The room was very large, newly furnished and very clean. The ability to store the wardrobe is more than sufficient.
We have extremely friendly, mostly foreign staff,
absolutely loved it. Every wish was quickly fulfilled.
Thank you for that. Unfortunately, as everywhere, there were some people who had problems with loved ones despite being on holiday and due to the stress of retirement. I will never understand that.
What is special, apart from the rooms, is the nostalgic ambience of the overall furnishings. It is harmonious and is an inseparable part of this house.

I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. On my date of arrival I was early 07.00. I could sit in the lobby which was great and after talking to the reception at 08.00 my room was ready after 15 minutes which was very nice. During the wait the offered me to have coffee and breakfast. That was great. I had a room for 1 person. Great room, I had everything I needed. The coffee machine was great with free cups of coffee. The room was not big, but for me that was fine. Everyday I had breakfast, the interior of the hotel is a bit dated but the breakfast was amazing. I enjoyed it very much. I definitely would come back here.

I had wonderful experience during my stay. The room itself was impeccably clean and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and had a great night's sleep after a long day on the island. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing. One of the best features is the hotel's convenient location, which is within 5 to 10 min walking from many popular pubs, restaurants, and shops. Overall, my experience was really great and I can't wait to come again and have more amazing time there.

Very nice breakfast buffet, is very central, disadvantage there were no sockets on the bed and the island wifi was very bad, you often had no reception and you had to log in again and again. I would love to go there again.

Everything was right, atmosphere, friendliness, service and that you can clear your head and completely forget everyday life. You are in very good hands, the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the staff very attentive and very friendly. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The atmosphere in this hotel is always inspiring, because I've been there 3 times now.

Clean rooms, friendly housekeeping, great breakfast buffet. Nice interior design. Lunch and dinner have ample selections for different preferences, and the portions are generous. The hotel has an indoor pool and is connected to a spa. No self-service laundry anymore, but laundry service. Windows can be opened, but no air-conditioning. Conveniently located in the middle of the town. Short walk to the beach on one side, and not far too the harbour on the other side. Close to a bakery and a small supermarket. My first stay in this hotel was in 1974 and my latest ones have been in 2015 and 2017. I can recommend staying in this Hotel.
