For me the rating is 4.5 stars!
I liked the location of this hotel. It was very close to the centrum of the city and at this time the Christmas market.
The staff was very very friendly. Always nice and very helpfull.
I could use the gym early in the morning and I was very thankful for that because as a woman it's right now dark outside and to do some fitness in a safe space is very helpfull.
The gym looks awesome and is really good.
On an high note I was missing the water fountain but the rest was there.
The stationary bike wasn't working and while I was after a one week break back again at the hotel it was still not repaired. Yes, there are reclining bikes there but sometimes a stationary bike is a ni e mix.
The first room was very big and had a refrigerator and kitchen. The second room was smaller, still ok but I was missing the refrigerator even on cold days.
At the beginning the heating system took one days time. That made the first morning a little bit cold.
The breakfast is amazing. Fruits, sweets, eggs, cheese, sausages, tea, milk and more was there. Presented nicely. The taste was also very very good.
If I'm back in the city again I would be booking the hotel in an heart beat again.

Rooms were ok, standard but clean. No common area to sit after 20h, not a single sofa or chair so all you can do is sit in room in evening, not funny hotel. Nice breakfast.

I have a hate-love relationship with this hotel. I've been coming here in a yearly basis for work, and even though they proudly advertise their thematic rooms, I've never been given one. In fact, the rooms I've always been given are super impersonal and boring. I honestly wonder if they have those thematic rooms at all.
Other than that, they have a reduced reception schedule (although people are kind), and the breakfast options are ok.

Best place to live in Oldenburg! Have been there quite often. The staff is very freindly and attentive to needs of the guests. Location is perfect, walking distance from the Hbf, bus stop right in front of the hotel, Walking distance to the city center. Enough parking space just behind the building.
The rooms are specious and equipped with everything one would need. Great breakfast with many options. Cleanliness upto the mark. All in all, always recommended!!

I am delighted to write this review about Hotel Sprenz. This was the second time I stayed in your Hotel. First time was on 04 - 06/07 May 2014 and now on 26 June 2016.
Both were very pleasant experiences for me. Your hospitality was far excellent and the rooms were quite lovable. I enjoyed t warmth of the services of you all. If I happened to be in Oldenburg again, I will definitely prefer to stay at Sprenz.

Perfect location, very welcoming staff, excellent breakfast (plenty of cheese, vegetables, fruit, omelet, yoghurt, nuts, etc). The room is clean and comfortable. And you are given a check out package with nice snacks. The only disadvantage is rather unstable wifi connection.

It was very clean and considering this pandemic especially they were very careful with everything.
What I loved the most was the staff that are really really friendly, and I must add: they take the personal wishes very seriously! I made my reservation and casually asked for a bathtub (as a nice to have) and when I arrived I saw that I got a double-room even I have paid for a single room, when I asked why they told me it is because it is the only room that has a bathtub :) felt great that they went above and beyond to fulfill my casual wish.
And breakfast was very good too. I would definitely recommend!

Basic rooms are more like pods and are unbelievably loud. You will hear neighbors talk, shower, go to the bathroom etc. Gym is great but freezing so too cold to workout. Breakfast is decent and staff is really wonderful. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean.
