Refugium am Wasserturm in Emsdetten

We have been staying at Refugium for more than three months. The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for our long stay.
The apartment had been thoroughly cleaned on weekly basis.
The hotel had free parking with enough places for all guests. Also we could use bicycles to explore the nearby parks.
There were a couple of supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Also, there was a nice bakery in the same building.
The hotel accepted our small doggy, so we could take him with us.
We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in the area.

An absolutely fantastic apartment complex.

The apartment is modernly furnished – it truly lacks nothing. The cleanliness throughout the entire building is also particularly noteworthy.

You immediately feel at home.

The service team is also readily available.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this complex.

For professional reasons, I travel a lot and always stay four nights in a row in one place.

Rarely have I had the great pleasure of feeling so incredibly comfortable in accommodation (hotel or apartment) as I did at the "REFUGIUM AM WASSERTURM" in Emsdetten.

As a multilingual art connoisseur and someone who pays attention to detail, I could "spoil" everything here and write five pages about the fabulous details of the REFUGIUM, but I'll try to be brief:

Absolute cleanliness prevails throughout the entire property: entrance, stairwell, snack machine, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, living and sleeping areas.

The interior designer has succeeded in furnishing the large rooms in a way that is inviting, functional, and beautiful all at once.

The artistic references begin with Brutalism (on the ceiling) and find colorful accents with individual oil and acrylic paintings in the hallways and guest rooms.

You can sleep peacefully without street or party noise.

The owner is often on-site and always available by phone. The automated check-in systems are intuitive and easy to use.

There is ample parking, even for large vehicles.

Next to the property is a wonderful bakery with a wide selection of savory and sweet treats.

I would actually move in there year-round.

10 out of 10 possible plus points.

Very cute loft in Emsdetten. Close to great dining and practically everything you need. Next time I there fr business I will book here.

This was better than expected ... Checking in is 'virtual' and the invite and code was lost in my spam, but eventually found access. rooms and apartments were much bigger than expected. good quiet nights sleep, but some coffee would have been nice ahead of an early start !

Handy and well equipped.
Firstly, I would stay here again!
The apartment was very spacious, clean and easy to find. The kitchen was well equipped and super useful.
One bath and one hand towel for a whole week wasn’t ideal and no obvious way to get clean ones.

Emails about how to get in were clear, so no contact otherwise needed. When I arrived though there was a terrible smell in the apartment from the drains, which went as soon as I ran all taps and flushed loo a few times. I assume no one had been in for a while. lol didn’t flush properly, but as long as mindful not an insurmountable issue.

The location is great for getting to Münster, Dortmund etc and Emsdetten is a nice little town in its own right.

The decoration/set up of the apartment is very good and it’s great to have a TV by the bed too… to treat myself to a leisurely coffee in bed before the day has to start.

Shame the parking isn’t for the hotel, rather than the bakery below, on the main street. Several people tried to get the one/two spaces right next to the door as they had CCTV, which is reassuring if, like me, you’d don’t want to schlepp all of your worldly goods out of the car every night. It was great having a lovely bakery downstairs though for fresh rolls each day!!

What an incredible little place! I was pleasantly surprised with how lovely these apartments were. The space was clean, neat, and featured all the necessary components of an apartment stay. Additionally, the price for 2 people was very affordable in my opinion. I will certainly stay here again should I be in the area. Thank you for the lovely stay!

A great place for an extended visit.

We only stayed one night in the Heidelberg apartment, but we were very satisfied! Nicely furnished, clean and handover of the keys perfectly solved!
