The room decor is old and needs updating, the furniture was hard and uncomfortable. The swimming pool photos looked luxurious but reality more like public swimming pool, the indoor hot tub was lukewarm. At check out (10am) there was a long queue and only 1 employee on duty, we waited 25 mins only to hand the keys and bath cards over (had asked if we needed to queue and was told yes, but in fact not...

Very nice hotel with rather large, we'll equipped apartments. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing beach close by (just a short walk). The breakfast buffet was great. All in all a perfect base for exploring the island of Sylt.

I doubt many Americans travel to Sylt so my review may be from an atypical perspective. We were looking for a hotel option for 3 adults. The two bedroom apartment options at this location are super. Warm welcome, great location on the mudflats, rooms with a view of the mudflats, lovingly furnished, everything has been thought of. Unfortunately we are only staying 3 nights, the next time for sure longer!

We have now been to the Watthof repeatedly to go on vacation and it was again very nice and relaxing. Very nice ambience, rooms designed with a lot of heart, pleasant and warm staff with always open ears for wishes and a great location. We were definitely not there for the last time!

The hotel's location is simply magical, a beautiful area surrounded by a magnificent hydrangea. Here you'll find peace and quiet and enjoy a unique view of the mudflats.
